Hey all, since CSS has their own casual dust2 server, I think CSGO should get their own as well. It would be a regular casual server where players can fight on all the standard maps (or even custom defuse maps?) Please let me know your guys' thoughts and opinions.

on a more serious note though,
CSS is more inclined to have casual players since there is no real competitive system. there are better ways to play "regular" csgo (matchmaking, faceit, esea).

Custom defuse maps would be fun. I think it would be cool if there was a server dedicated for 10mans as well.

Interesting thread

I support this. We focus so much on these wacky custom gamemodes (Your TTT and JB of the world), but something simple would be nice. This is different than everything we've done so far, and it might be something worth exploring, even if only for a little while. I personally could see myself playing it.

It's a fair note to mention that playercount might be an issue; people don't typically search for a casual server in the custom servers. (I could be wrong). But then again, that'd also mean we would have a large "market share" in the space, and with our resources, it could prove to be legendary.

Really, this deserves to have a shot, and I think eGO as a whole could benefit more from "Trying" things for a bit, where we throw it up, and see if it's a good idea. If things keep solid, then it's considered for the big time. This would give eGO a chance to try new ideas without directly committing to them.

no, too many servers like this already
Respectfully, is that a good reason to deny something that might be a success? I'd rather see some ideas sunset for a little bit to seriously give stuff like this a chance. It's not like it's a bad suggestion.

We've already had it though.

We have? Might've been before my time. Share some insight! Love to know more!
