You choose our next motel script

Our current motel script comes with many problems. Due to encryption, we are looking towards moving to a new script.

Help us decide..

Many unique features, players can own the motels, hire employees, open source, etc.

I don't even know why thinking about bringing that complex motel script in is even a thought process. Keep it simple. It's a motel. A place to stash some stuff. This server does not have the playerbase to keep adding more player-owned business and such without the people readily available to run them.

Stop overcomplicating the scripts. What's more important is having scripts that actually facilitate roleplay. My two cents.

being able to walk into the motel w/out teleport is 10x better regardless.

script does add roleplay compared to just walking to a door and pressing e.

better scripts are always pog, even if it doesnt directly add rp as long as its interesting for people it shouldnt be a problem adding it

I really do hope you understand how incredibly ridiculous you are coming across right now by thinking "being able to walk into the motel without teleport" actually adds "roleplay"... you know... "compared to just walking to a door and pressing E" (You're referring to immersion - not roleplay)

Sorry but I stand by my opinion and the fact that adding some complex motel script is just pointless.

Also, don't ever tell me to shut up when I'm stating how I feel about the direction this server is going regarding additional scripts. Quite toxic of you, Rekty.

Lets going to be honest, the script that let you own and manage motel is the one that give more RP possibility yet only when playerbase grow significantly, as for now the simple script is by far better not only because the other one doesn't have enough base player and dedication but because tech team already have too much work to complicate it, i'm not gonna vote since i don't even play the server but should definitely take in count the first script when the base player grow.

it adds people being able to own it, and them roleplaying as owners, having to actually rp w people to get a motel and all that (if someone buys any motels) Immersion too yes

Yeah, I have zero faith in the players that play on Edge's FiveM server to actually roleplay it out properly.

Look at player owned stores, gas stations and ammunations. Was supposed to generate all this roleplay around them and we all know how big of a flop that was regarding roleplay. They are just grinding machines.

It would be a mistake to add the more complex motel script, at this time. I'm done repeating myself about the utter lack of roleplay in the server.

Whatever is decided, I hope the players step up and actually bring solid roleplay back to the server again.

I 100% understand what your saying, but the script allows the motels to be AI owned too. LE can always not allow players to own the motels. Either way the more expensive motel offers A LOT more then the basic one does.

I do agree that the server needs more RP but choosing the cheaper or expensive script wont change that.

By you saying that you have no faith in the players on Edgegamers, I have no faith in you as a roleplayer, member or an admin. Instead of pissing and moaning why don't you help them out? Make a CL about this concern in detail? Create RP events? take someone under your wing and teach them? Why don't you go and RP at an ammunation?

It takes two to roleplay, if no one around you is providing good RP then chances are they probably don't find your RP enjoyable either.

Leadership can change the expensive script to be ran by AI/Locals. So atm with a smaller player base we can make it Ai ran and change when the player count increases

Ah. Didn't realize it could be set to AI ran. Thanks for informing me. I still think simpler is better when it comes to a motel but that's just my personal opinion.

If players end up showing an interest in wanting to run motels, then that's when a complex script like this could be implemented. Just my honest opinion.

would this really be possible? i saw the video, must be a really hard configuration, the one that own can up or decrease the salary, accept rents, remove rents, prevent user to enter if they haven't paid and more things, and like i said the other problem is tech team already have too much work, making it harder wouldn't be that cool
