The title is pretty self-explanatory, more payment options like PayPal and crypto would just make buying DS easier for a lot of people.
*cough cough* btc miners *cough cough*

Crypto may not work because DS is a subscription but atleast PayPal.

also I know that stripe doesn't accept Paypal

I 1000% agree we need to expand our payment methods, but crypto isn't one. I am a strong supporter of crypto and believe it's going to be more and more important as time goes on, but eGO doesn't need to deal with crypto, You forget that literally like 2 or 3 people have access to the finances, and that isn't a good enough team to bring tracking crypto in mind.

We however should consider platforms like GPay, Apple Pay, Venmo, Paypal, and maybe cashapp?

I actually brought up DS and Payment options a while back and it was supposed to be something on the plate, and afaik might still be on their radar, if not, this.

PayPal is imo a standard that as many people should support if possible. Not sure about crypto though as thats a bit more of a rabbit hole, but definitely +1 to PayPal.

Paypal I refuse to use, they have stolen 3k from me, I'd sue if it was worth my time.
It IS the most common platform used, however.

Stripe should easily be able to support ApplePay and GooglePay. However, Cashapp, Paypal, Venmo, etc. are all other payment processors. Stripe *is* a payment processor, you can't put two in front of eachother. Paypal and the others would need to be integrated separately

For reference, this is what you're looking for. You would need to include Stripe AND PayPal AND Venmo AND any other payment processors, they do not work together...

I don't see us incorporating anything other than Stripe, mostly for the reasons above, and also because it really doesn't make sense to... If you're using PayPal, chances are you have a card setup through PayPal that's being charged... but that's exactly what Stripe does, you're just putting in your card info a different way.

I think crypto is pretty much a definite no.

+1 to using Paypal. While they do suck in some aspects, being able to (if needed) cancel a sub if you know you cant afford it next month, is a plus (at least its easier on PP than on the site)

Hey acidity, thanks for the suggestion but changing our money service provider for accepting dedicated support was changed due to a multitude of reasons. Yes PayPal, is an easier option for the community in terms of canceling DS, looking at payments to eGO, etc. It is also "safer" in some people's minds cause PayPal is a large company and they are just not entering their credit card/debit card information on our site. With that being said, for eGO Stripe is the better option for eGO because they offer better financial service than PayPal.
