Change the rules on micspam.

we're tired of getting our fucking ears being raped on a daily basis by players who think its alright to always talk and scream.

If you do it a lot and you get warned constantly, just ban the player instead of keep kicking/warning.

I am here to play TTT, When I'm detective 80% of the time I CANNOT even prove anyone due to my mic is not activating because of so much mic spam.
For that reason, I suggest making micspam a ban as server disruption. You are stopping the detectives from proving people.

DO NOT TELL ME I SHOULD FOCUS ON WRITING IN CHAT, NO ONE WATCHES THE CHAT. MOST TIMES THEY GO "WHY DIDN'T U JUST USE UR MIC"

constant mic spam is already considered a bannable offense under server disruption,

if you see someone who is constantly spamming in ttt you can contact an admin using @(message) and let them know that User X is constantly mic spamming and they will deal with it.

another tip to avoid always typing in chat you can set up a bind

bind <key> " say KOS last scanned ^^"

Luffy Luffy , the key bind works but people dont look. no one does.

If the same player keeps mic spamming on a daily basis he/she/they should be banned. its annoying having to hear screams over the mic.

I'd recommend making a player report on repeat offenders if the admin is unaware of them. I don't think the rules need to change regarding mic spam- people who are disrupting the server will be taken care of one way or another.

barely, its the same mic spammers, admins have not banned a single person for mic spam for ages. Unless they yell for 25 seconds straight, maybe there its a ban. But if a player is constantly screaming or talking loud or talking ALL THE TIME thinking that this is a discord server where you share your thoughts that no one wants to hear.

They never get banned. Its the same players. Most kids yell the f out. You want to mute them so you dont need to listen to them but you also want to hear the "D KOS".

So either get ear raped and play the game almost as it should.
Or get play the game based on chat messages and miss half the game because you're looking in chat with no audio.

We can't just immediately ban for mic spam with no warning, you would need to make a report on repeat offenders if you spot them. Admins don't always know who those individuals are, so it would be best to inform them if they are on.

A good alternative would be making Detectives have priority in voice chat. Not sure if it's possible but making everyone's voice chat volume lower by 50% when a detective speaks could be an interesting idea / test run.

@MSWS is something like this even possible?

I think something like giving detectives a !peace like on jb with different times could also work

EX: calling a KOS only should take 3seconds max so maybe !peace mutes for 3 seconds (some sort of player based cd needed here when multiple detectives are alive & rules to state detectives should not be using this command for non KOS/Proven Inno/(Gameplay related) Voice comms)
Also thinking that (if possible would be really cool) -->
When an inno body / t body is scanned with DNA scanner detective will have some sort of Voice prio for 3 seconds or a !peace style thing for 3 seconds automatically (again doubt smth like this is possible with gameplay automation)

Or maybe when a detective scans an inno body / t body with DNA scanner some sort of small audio alert / visual plays to all players to signify a KOS OR PROVEN INNOCENT might be incoming and to read chat (also prob not possible)

the problem is we need a deeper system of tracking who was talking, and when, for how long.
I think the best course of action would to be to invest time on tech to look at building deeper administrative tools than what's out there.

When there is a lot of micspam, it can be difficult to track the legit stuff, from the not legit stuff. I mean, from an admin's perspective, it's one of the harder things to accurately track.
I agree 100, the micspam lately on CS servers has been ridiculous.

if possible +1

or how about we set a minimum 4 to 5 seconds i think eGO did it on css and it was good for people that constantly mic spamming i mean i've kicked a guy mic spamming twice and third time i've told him that it was his last warning and he stop i think so if we still had that thing where players only talk for 4 to 5 seconds it would great not only to players but people that mic spam wont be able to mic spam for a temporary

I could see someone abusing that command. if this is added this is just going to cause more work for us to do and worry about on the server

Peace works for JB because for JB, the prisoners speaking are pretty much non-essential to the gameplay. On TTT, the Ts speaking are essential to the gameplay so it's not really a valid option. Being able to set priority on Detectives for speaking could be good, although I have no idea if it's feasible.
