Duplicate add custom rebels to !lr

I was playing on an australian jb server and noticed that when you choose to rebel in !lr it allowed you to pick what rebel you would like to do like backstab only rebel where you and the cts can only damage eachother with backstabs and the t would get 500 hp or you could pick what gun you wanted to use for the rebel.

Everyone already complains about the rounds being too long and this sounds like it would make LR even longer. -1 from me

I think having multiple rebel !lr options would be cool but like santa mentioned, this particular one that you suggested can increase round length.

Maybe having different rebel options that give T's movement speed but less HP or another option that makes them a Heavy like the traitor option in TTT. Also giving the T an option to choose a type of gun would be rad too.

When Custom was here, he always said that the LR plugin was too messy and difficult to work with - and therefore he would not be customizing anything in the menu.

I think that still applies even when someone else has taken over the development of jailbreak.

I have 0 idea about any sort of coding and stuff like that but with everything else that could actually be implemented wouldn't it be easier to rewrite the whole LR plugin (if someone has the time and skill) in a way that it IS easy to customize? Like I said I have 0 experience in the field so I might just be talking rubbish

It would be, but it's not just that plugin that would have to be re-written. A large amount of the Jailbreak infrastructure uses the LR's API. While it would theoretically be possible to keep the API the same with a re-write, it's still a big factor to consider when it comes to rewriting.

Also the (public version of the) plugin is ~8000 lines long, so I'm not really looking to add cheese to the spaghetti.

Thanks for the explanation! Yeah makes sense that it's not worth the time coding for only LR to be a bit easier to customise.
