What is the scope of your bug report?
CS:GO TTT

Short description of the bug
Unable to connect to server.

Detailed description of the bug
When attempting to connect to the server, I get connection failed after 30 retries.

I'm not entirely sure what's going on, but I can no longer connect to the TTT server, which prompted an investigation. It looks like some of the TF2/CSGO servers share the same box and I am unable to connect to any of the servers that are on the box that begin with the IP 74.91..

All the other servers I can connect to just fine. I ran a tracert to see what exactly was going on and it looks like it's dumping me at the router. I'm not sure why it's doing that or if all the sudden they do not like my ISP. Before making this thread, I conferred with Simon Simon to see if he could assist and it looks like we both came to the same conclusion.

Edit: Just for reference, I was able to play 3 days ago. Usually I go AFK in the server when I go to work just so the server doesn't sit on the empty list when everyone leaves for the evening.

Did you check your firewall? Someone else had a similar issue and it ended up being their firewall.

Yeah, it's one of the first things I checked, along with my AVS. I can't even ping the address.

Well assuming you checked all the standard stuff, not much comes to mind at the moment. Could just be bad routing or your ISP hating you. Weird that it only happens to that one box though

It's interesting where it times out, seems like it's just about to hit the NFO server routers and then flops.

Here's where it "should" go after:

Code:
 7 toro-b3-link.ip.twelve99.net (213.248.97.222) 5.989 ms 5.462 ms 6.144 ms
 8 chi-b23-link.ip.twelve99.net (62.115.136.246) 17.828 ms 19.198 ms 16.056 ms
 9 telia-2.e5.router2.chicago.nfoservers.com (74.91.119.253) 19.991 ms
    telia-1.e7.router2.chicago.nfoservers.com (64.74.97.253) 19.380 ms 17.133 ms
10 ttt.csgo.edgegamers.cc (74.91.113.113) 16.768 ms 17.292 ms 17.957 ms

I'm assuming this is happening over a long duration of time?

Either I'm banned from IP/RCON or something to do with my ISP. I'm going to bet its my ISP. I can ping the box on my iPhone but not on my PC.

I'll call my ISP and see what's going on. Maybe they got tired of me being connected to the server for over 24 hours at a time.

Just an update. NFO servers allegedly blacklisted my IP/ISP(I assume a range?) due to "abnormal bandwidth consumption on behalf of a Client" so it's dumping my IP at their routers. I can't even access their page at www.nfoservers.com . Periodically, they redetermine blacklisted IPs, but have no available time frame they can provide.

I can work around this by using my hotspot if I really want to play but it looks like we're at the end of this for the time being. Thanks!

Yeah, sorry I didn't get back to you. It was assumed that it was NFO when I brought it up to Don and CRC. You can try to ask your ISP to change your IP and see if that helps, although if they blacklisted the entire range your ISP has, you're out of luck.

@Custom Stats may know something? He used to seed the servers a lot too

I don’t think server seeding made this happen. Literally uses zero data and has been going on for years and years. Likely someone else on his ISP who ended in ddosing and got a big range blocked out.

If these close out, you can close this out. After escalating the issue to John, the Founder/President of NFO Servers, I'm able to play again.

In case you do metrics on open tickets, this was not eGO related, this was regarding NFO servers. Thanks everyone for the help!

Hey Ric, just before the threads locked, out of curiosity, did it end up being an IP range had been blocked?

Kind of. Apparently, traffic from my client came in at the exact same time they had a bot net scanning their network space for vulnerabilities. They have an automated system, which made an error, that put a range to include my IP effectively disabling me from interacting with their website and servers.
