The Oxford Comma

The Oxford Comma is falling into disuse in recent years and I wonder, for those who know of it, what are your thoughts on its use?

I only use it when separating phrases, not word lists.

Like

....apple, peaches and oranges

vs:

...running to the store, buying milk, and cleaning the fridge today.

Huh. Interesting usage. I see the value in it... semicolons should separate phrases though... does the Oxford Semicolon exist?!

I never use it. The word AND suffices.
