What is the scope of your bug report?
CS:GO

Short description of the bug
Connecting to CS:GO Servers

Detailed description of the bug
The CS:GO Jailbreak, Bhop, and TTT servers don't appear in the internet, favorites, or history tab of the server browser. Directly connecting to these servers stalls at, "connecting to server" and ends with, "connection failed after 30 retries." Finding and connecting to the Awp and Climb servers succeeds.

I have tried changing the server browser pings per minute and the location, but that wouldn't explain why direct connect attempts also fail.

This is very weird behavior. Any help on what to try or what this could be is appreciated.

Well this could be client sided because i can see that all of our servers are up

Yeah, unfortunately, it seems like this has occurred to a couple of people now. I won't bother with details and will just give you a simple explanation. Essentially, NFOServers is the hosting company we use for some (or all) of our CS servers. They have protections in place to try to prevent DoS and similar attacks. A part of those protections is an automatic IP blacklisting system, where if you're seen in an attack against a server hosted by NFO, you are placed on a blacklist. When on the blacklist, you cannot connect to any server hosted by NFO, nor see their website. This system does have false-positives, especially if you're playing when a DDoS attack is occuring (one recently occurred on our Jailbreak server).

Unfortunately, the only way to correct this is to email NFOServers' support regarding the situation, tell them you've been blocked, and request to be removed from the blacklist. Their support email is: [email protected]. Ensure that your network is not compromised (viruses and similar can take advantage of infected systems to perform DDoS attacks) beforehand, as if it is, they will not unblock you.

This was the first known case of this happening, in which we had to do a lot of investigating to figure out the cause. Although we have good knowledge of why it happens and what to do when it does, that thread may still serve as a good informational thread on the blacklisting system and the unblocking process. I believe their support is faster at unblocking now, but otherwise it's still similar.

Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you so much for your explanation! I actually suspected so after finding a post on NFO's forums from 2020 describing a similar issue where one of their employees suggested the same advice as you. Unfortunate this has happened but glad to see it's not just me and has been resolved before. Hopefully this post helps others.

I've reached out to NFO's support and will update here when my IP removed from their blacklist. You can consider this resolved now or until then, either is fine with me.

Thanks again for your help.

Their support asked me to complete several tasks like updating router firmware and disabling WAN-side administration. Overall very quick to respond and friendly. They removed my IP from their blacklist and I can connect just fine. Thank you blank_dvth blank_dvth for your help as well. :)
