Unable to Connect to Gameserver

Hey all,

I was an avid surfer on the eGO servers in CS:GO, but with the new release of cs2, I seem to be unable to connect to the servers. They are both (beginner and advanced) still in my favorites on the new steam server browser, but when I try to connect all I get is the "Unable to connect to game server" error. Am I doing something wrong here or are the servers just not up yet? It says that there are people online in the server but I can't connect for the life of me. I have tried to paste the IP into the console as well to connect but same issue. Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hey, the servers should be accessible still if you go to your game options in steam and do betas> beta participation> csgo demo viewer you should be able to launch and join the servers that way. There will be a one time 12gb download and then you wont need to do that again.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if this will forever be the case now for the servers or will they eventually be transferred to CS2 and playable from the main game?

They’re actively working on moving them to CS2(maps, plugins, etc.), once those are up i presume they will close the csgo ones.
