History of EGO: Looking for Memories

History of EGO: Looking for Memories

As EGO grows and changes, we wanted to spend some time reminiscing on the good ol' days. We are looking for any, and all, screenshots from EdgeGamers throughout the years. This includes screenshots of TeamSpeak, old Discords, silly forum moments, in-game moments, and anything else that is from anything EGO-related.

If you know someone who may not be active, but definitely has some memories saved, please reach out to them and gather their memories as well! We are trying to gather these from all corners of the world. When you have gathered the memories, please attach them to this thread (or DM me) so that we can use them for the surprise end product ; )

[Shark]

This was a week before the TF2 Division created the "Shark Hunt" event (a copy of Saxton Hale event). When I was known as Sharknado, I often played demo knight in the waters of 2Fort and jettisoned through the waters like a torpedo towards my prey. Fun times. No idea why everyone had "Shark" in their name, but it was a fun late night.

and of course we cannot forget about Jesus Ric .

Good times during Medieval Monday.

The TF2 Division hosted an open event that even Valve recognized. My picture here was even posted on the official TF2 website front page.

(Last is a GTA Meeting back in the day)

That first screenshot.... sheesh. What a time.

Also, I will always think that eGO logo style was the GOAT.

Anyone have screenshots/images from the Star Wars April Fools event? Where all the ranks became Star Wars themed? That was peak eGO imo.

Here's the old broken news post https://www.edgegamers.com/threads/203245/

I absolutely have some ventrilo photos somewhere

I will also force Conor out of retirement for photos

An Old Forum post regarding PSC before it was removed. The majority of us are still friends!

Not sure if you have contact with Scientisto but I spoke with Icestyle yesterday. They are living their best life.

Man, looking at those old name tags brings back many memories for me. Going on 18 years for me in the clan. I started out in CSS when I first joined. I remember who recruited me too. But I can't remember their name right now. After two weeks, I became good friends with JohnT and joned the DOD division. After a few years in that division, the Insurgency Division was formed and I joined that division. It was a free game. When Insurgency 2 came out, no one wanted to purchase it and the Insurgency Division was dissolved. Then I joined the Call of Duty Division which eventually fell apart and was dissolved too. Then I joined the Battlefield Divison and I'm still part of that division to this day. jtipton was my best friend and we played all the battlefield expansions up to the day he unfortunately passed away. Which was a few years ago. I'm still sad of his passing. Way back when I joined, I remember when you would be promoted to a leadership position, you would have to videotape yourself eating a Mustoreo! It was an Oreo cookie covered in Mustard. I never made it to any leadershiup positions but it would have been nice to try that yummy cookie with mustard on it. I have a few =(eGO)= Hoodies and T-Shirts that I had purchased from this great clan to support them. I think the first chat channel we used was Ventrillo. It was the best. I remember our meetings would have close to 150 to 200 people attending them. Then you would get the spammers coming in and crashing the Ventrillo Server from time to time. What great memories I've experienced from this clan.
