Medium Counter-Strike CS2 DS Suggestions

Everything listed below is ONLY for DS.

I recently started supporting the EGO team. I've been a member throughout a lot of Jailbreak, & other community servers for CSGO/CS2. I'd like to see some changes if you all could agree.

My suggestions are new cool color changes to the /ds menu I am referring to these commands in CS-2 Jailbreak. I'd love to see more colors such as Aqua, Pink, Red, Orange, Forest Green, Brown, and last but most importantly, a cherry red color.

This is my small Suggestion that I think would be a great idea. I hope you all support this idea, and we can get some more exclusive perks for donating to a strong & wonderful community. Yes it might be a nuisance to create something that isn't necessarily needed, but I think personally anything that can gain more support & make the server a cooler place to be can't hurt.

I agree, although it'll probably be less prioritized just because its for chat colors, I think it would be nice to have some new colors in the chat especially aqua/cyan

e is the skins.edgm.rs menu while I love that you are able to customize the selected knife skins & you can

On JB you can change skins. Just not all the skins have been added to the skin selector though!

You can type !skins to change your skins in-game, or you can go to skins.edgm.rs to change them through your browser.


ps. I agree with you that StatTrak weapons would be super nice. I am just not sure how they would implement that and how they would store the stats because they would not be linked to your inv like StatTrak weapons you own

I don't recall for certain if this is the case, but I'm fairly sure that the colours available in CS2 are limited. That is, we cannot pick and add exact, arbitrary colours outside of what is supported by the game, only a subset of defaults (most of which are already available). All shades of red are not included due to potential confusion with admin chat.

Hey blank, one issue with this is... Aqua/Cyan is already allowed in the engine in CS2 because you can change it as your marker color. I believe this is for certain, and there are many more colors shown in the game simply by being a warden and seeing all the colors that are already used in the CS2 Jailbreak server. I noticed the line the warden can create has a rainbow feature in some DS join messages. I see different colors that aren't added to the commands I listed above that are in other commands. Who knows maybe I am wrong but I'd atleast love for someone to look into this and see if it is possible. Because if the color is in the engine I believe it should be possible to add it to the menu. I don't think every color lol I listed is able but some of them may be just from experience playing on here. Thanks for posting this btw! ^-^

We chose to omit a few of the chat colors from the commands you listed because those colors are reserved for features such as admin chat and admin announcements. To preserve their meaning and visibility as indicators of important messages, we decided not to make them publicly selectable. i.e. we don’t want it looking like there’s always an admin announcement since the bright green catches your eye easy

As for markers having more color options, CS2, like other Counter-Strike games, only supports a limited set of chat colors within the game engine itself. Markers are not restricted by that same limitation, which allows us to offer a much wider range of color options for them.

I just wanted to add to this post a little... what about the rainbow feature with the Warden lines in gangs will that ever be coming back? I really wanted to earn that but it seems its no longer obtainable for new players. Is there anything we can do to fix this?

The gangs system as a whole is currently undergoing a refresh/ remake so yes, we’re intentionally taking it as a slower burn so we can flush out a better and not rushed product. but i can promise it’s being worked on!

I'm very glad to know atleast its being looked at I am hopeful the server starts growing again. I've seen a lot of new people in jailbreak today so I wouldn't be shocked if u guys added some new stuff to Jailbreak, hoping to increase the popularity of your server! I hope you guys just look over the colors & engine to see what new colors you could add to the DS menu now I understand that it's important to leave colors for certain special roles that are immediate attention, and visual etc. but I do believe there are some colors we may have missed that could look pretty cool

This post is pretty much complete, though if you take what I just said above into consideration, that's all I could ask for. New features/New maps would be awesome.. (BTW, this is 100% my opinion, but you guys should think about adding Undertale, it's a solid & REALLY fun map, and I think some of the maps are very similar to it, and a lot of people already know about it. I hope u guys add it soon. One of my fav maps for sure!
