TF2 MaxClass Limit Script

i found this searching for an admin mod to limit the number of classes similar to how it is setup in our DOD servers.

there might be better more stable versions out there but this is an attempt to save the game from just being always one class to farm achievements.

the game is so far in my opinion ruined due to the same classes running around.

This happened to all of the servers for TFC and all it did was make connecting to a server a competition for who could get to the limited classes first (i.e. everything but soldier). This in turn ruined teams if the one or two demos you got on dustbowl weren't good or if the engy's you had didnt know where to build good sg's. This also set games up for the same strategy over and over...I mean how many different things can you do with 2 engies, a heavy, a few medics, a demo, and a sniper?

In my opinion DoD and TF2 are completely different games when it comes to group layout and play styles. Yes, DoD has classes, and yes they each have benefits, but I feel the teamwork and dependency on classes is much more thorough in TF2( as far as public server play is concerned). One team could have a lot of medics or engineers or snipers, which forces the other team to adapt to it and counter it.

If, as 3 Dog Knight stated, the teams are exactly the same, the strategy is the same every game and there are no surprises. This ruins TF2 completely.

Just my thoughts, but I'd really prefer if the TF2 servers do not get class limiters. =\

Don't forget, just because you are limiting the number of classes doesn't mean you have to have an exact amount for the players on the server. You can set the limits to say 5 of each class, that way you still have the ability to field a lot of people playing the class, but don't get half the team playing it.
