CounterStrike Makes A Move!​

Our growing CounterStrike community has caught the HARPERTOWN fever!

They have elected to switch their box from a $179 a month Heritage (meaning old) 246 Dual-Core Opteron to the shiney new $199 a month Quad-Core HARPERTOWN with four gigs of Ram.

WARNING: AS SOON AS WE GET THE HARPERTOWN RACKED AND STACKED WE ARE TURNING THE OLD OPTERON DOWN. THERE WILL BE VERY LITTLE WARNING. We just can't afford to run another Hapertown and not turn down the old server immediately.

The first week or so the stats may not be up immediately since we will be waiting for Final BattleGround (FBG) to switch the stats. Also a new box means the Admin Mod has to be set up again.

Anyway, we hope that this makes the COUNTERSTRIKE crowd happy. No more mean PM"s please!

Ok, what it takes to get a new server and set it up:

1. call to salesmen to get discounts
2. order on website, put in discounts salesman promised
3. wait to get it racked
4. get password, send password to Deacon
5. wait for Deacon to get rid of all the unnecessary processes and get games installed
6. start turning the server from a normal ho-hum gaming server to a eGO server
a. Install Admin Mod with over 500 unique steamid's for admins and 4 different classes
b. buy and instal HLstatsX
c. add maps and our trademarked tweaks
7. Test the server to make sure server is running ok, fix lag issues.
8. Turn server over to it's division.
9. Kendle gets call in middle of the night cause its laggy.
10. Kendle's wife signs divorce papers.
11. Kendle calls JohnT in the middle of the night. His legal/medical advice give her 2 valiums and call him in the morning.
12. JohnT's computer starts to mysteriously melt
13. Artimus gets the bill, calls JohnT asks WTF is this new bill?
14. JohnT says, bill? I don't know, my computer started mysteriously smoking, I can't see it....
15. Artimus well you better get some new friggen sponsors, the bill is way high
16. JohnT well, we are going to save money by getting a more expensive server
17. Artimus presses "Hang up" button really really hard on his cell phone pays bill
