So I was looking around on Youtube and went to the TigerDirect channel like I usually do daily and I saw this video:

I don't think it will change my mind in getting the Asus Formula Rampage bored I originally wanted though http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131284 . Now, I know the other PCIx 16 2.0 slot is only x8 and not x16 like the first one but this board is just AMAZING. Watch the video before you become a critic :D

4 gigabit ports, seen it before on a different one but thats a board for like in home server and router combo
 
has a lot of cool features... but none of them are really as OMFG as they claim or as he sates....

RAID Controller isn't actually hardware, it still requires your processor to hand Parity teh chip just handles the configurations and settings.

oh and whoever told him those are PCIE 1x slots are a bit n00b... those are 4x slots, they are longer and have more bandwidth...

I have a GA-X48-DS4, sweet board, but it basically got the same stuff that one does just less of it, 6 SATA, RAID, 2 real 16x slots.... 2x GB Lan oh yeah forgot... unless you have a crazy internal network those won't do ya much good having 4 since it also offloads onto your processor....

Yeah. The new guy (Albert) isn't quite as tech savvy was Logan was. (Which I have noticed in a few of his videos) The board is sweet and all, and I right now do have dual lan ports and it isnt really anything special. Still think its a neat board because of the 7 troubleshooting LEDs and the 10 SATA ports. But don't think it will run as good as some gaming boards out there. Like the Asus Formula Rampage I wanted in the first place.
 
I would love Gigabyte boards if only they didn't look like Disney characters went around throwing up all over it.

HAHAHAHAHA. Thats a very good point. I have ALWAYS noticed that about their boards. They are really nice but the rainbow colors just make it look kiddy and cheap :o

I believe it's more of a color code type thing... looks like each component has it's own color.... if you had to explain to someone say over the phone or net that has no idea WTF they are doing and shouldn't of even bought the damn thing...

connect that to the yellow slot, put that one in the green slot... cause you know they'd be like WTF is an IDE?
 
Makes sense, but I wouldn't touch one for my main rig. Folding rigs though, the P35-DS3L is by far the best price/performance board out there.

if it wasn't for so much Heat-Pipe around the CPU ( I smell HS conflicts ) and if that 4x slot was down at the bottom, I would have also gotten that nice DFI
 
Didn't you just buy a 4850? I'm surprised that you'd choose an nforce board over an intel board, most intel chipsets support crossfire, that makes for an easy upgrade later.
