just delete them, its wont affect your old ones because they are stored i gcf files which to edit you must decompile. models in you models folder just have the override. so just delete the model.

its not cheating....it just makes aiming easier, in COD4 u can put red dot sights on guns, thats not cheating

But they didn't have red dots in WW2! I don't really care if other people use them though I guess. I just think it's more realistic to try to aim down the crappy garand iron sights just like those heroes did back in the day. :)

How realistic anyway is COD4 when you can get shot and then run around the corner and hide for 3 gasps of oxygen and you're back to 100hp?:cool:

Why is this a sticky anyway? eGO actually supports this? I wouldn't understand why?

So if i change my gun model to show absolutely nothing but a Red dot, so I have complete freedom of view, and change all the enemy models to be a bright bright pink color so I can see them easily anywhere ....

I'm sorry, I don't mean to start an argument, but this just agitates me, to think people are trying as hard as they can , and they're playing against people that are changing the skins to give them self an unfair advantage. If DOD meant for your to change the scopes into futuristic equipment it'd be built into the game, same with giving yourself heat vision by making all the enemy a bright color.
 
well changing models of weapons or axis&allies is cool if you get bored of the old skins, but deactivating sv_pure makes it easier for cheater ... i searched for some cool skins for the axis well i found a kind of wh models ... . I don't know if they are vac detected ... i hope so ! But you really have to care about if they have these models!
And i don't know if you can filter those gay models

I am against the skins where all the players show up as bright colors, i don't see a problem with milwaukee's custom stuff...besides shootin people from really really far away, i never use ironsights anyway... I skinned almost all my weapons and some new sounds for the weapons...it's nice to change things around a bit.
 
In my opinion i used to use skins but when i was in a clan that didnt allow them for CSS i stopped and got better naturally.
 
This is such a flameable topic.

I've been to many PC Cafe's in my gaming career, worked in 2 of them in the past. One of the cafe was extremely against "modding" because in there, it was considered unfair. Much as I hate the K98 zoomed in, I think it should be kept the way it is for intended game purposes. What it does is gives you more viewpoint against other players and to me and many people, that is considered cheating.

The gloves I saw on the other hand, I think was actually extremely cool and yet it's not giving you any "advantages" since your viewpoint is still the same and all.

I would like to also see pure game play instead of modding because first of all, I don't know how to do it :P and secondly it is raises questionable contents. The glowing figures I saw, is that even real? Or was that phoshoped?

This is only my opinion, not attacking anyone.
 
If it gives you more view and aiming advantage it its consider cheating in my opinion.
Not fair for us that use pure dod. I do not know how to use them nor want to know,Makes me feel like i would be cheating in game. I am not calling no one cheater and its not my intention to disrespect Milkwalkee at all. Now i can see why some guys get so good with their aim. But as someone said. remenber when i kill you with my garand or k98 it was pure dod skin. Yes looks good but NO thanks. I stay pure and clear.

Btw: Crosshair #5 or 6 is a red dot if that helps you... lol
 
I play the game as it came from the box - everyone should - that way everyone is even - I do run a pos pc, but thats my problem.

i think gun skins are a very big advantage if you have a good one, only player skin would be to look like, then u can make the look better :P :)

But all of the rest of you that are arguing this, sit and think, how much of an actual advantage is it really? they may get slight help with aiming but that is all, if they cant shoot people anyways, then it doesnt matter.

To those of you who say it isnt realistic because it didnt exist then, fine... but let me point two things out to you.

1. Its a video game.
2. I dont recall ever seeing a WWII video where the cameramans allies had large translucent icons floating over their head that the enemy couldnt see, but let their fellow soldiers know to not shoot them.

So, sit back and think, how much of an advantage will they really get, and if it bothers you, go use it yourself... if not, just remember the two points above, and play to have fun.

Have fun I SAY!! NOW!!!
 
i think that this is a matter that needs more attention in the next meeting. We should enable pure mode on all DoD server in my opinion.

He has a good point on the fact that it is a video game and we should have fun. The only thing I'm against is that, when I have the K98 rifle and I zoom in, I pretty much don't see anything below me because of the view. The gun skin that was posted by the op allows you to see what the game did not intend for you to see.

A good example of how this can be taking advantage is, let's say you are not using the skin/mod if you are zoomed in and an enemy is right front of you lying prone, you probably won't see him too well, but with that sepecific skin, I think you can see him.

I'm not against skins as I've said in my previous post, the gloves look so cool, but the gun one bothers me.

This is not a flame nor proving anyone wrong, it's a POV of a gamer.
 
Wow Milwaukee, those are some good looking skins. Skins aren't for me, but i still have to give credit where its due. Good job.
