My computer started overheating. :(

I set up my computer at my aunts house and was playing Star Wars Republic Commando and my computer just shut off. I checked and the power supply and processor were really hot. I am not sure if I need both, or just the processor (I put my hand over the fan and it was burning up.) Anybody have any ideas? Maybe some links to cheap Intel dou core 2 processors? (I refuse to use AMD)

it may not necessarily be broken just yet....

check to make sure your heatsinks are all seated properly and give it a bit then try again.

Otherwise... i would see if theres another processor you can test in your system, and do the same with another power supply.

Was the ambient room temperature higher than where your computer is normally at?

Wrong section; I would open up the case, blow it out really well, make sure dust isn't causing any fan problems before buying something. What are your specs now?

I reposted it in help tech. I blew it out it seems to be alright now but I am looking into new fans and replacing my processor.

I have an idea buy a cooler and 5 fans (big) and maby put bags of ice around the PC that should keep it nice 'n cool
