Team Fortress 2 not working?

Whenever I start up TF2 the game just sits at the loading screen until I restart my computer.

Thoughts? Ideas?

Once again, this is the biggest update for the game since release. Millions are trying to download it.

I did search for a thread to this similar problem. All I'm finding are people who are having problem connecting to a server, I can't even get into the main menu of the game.

Try sending me lots of money.

Did your system change at all since the last time you played? New drivers or applications? Did you try ending tf2 in task manager and restarting it? Did you restart steam? Your PC? Did you send me lots of money?

There are other things you can try if those don't work. But sending me lots of money is your best best.

A lot of people over on the SteamPowered forums are reporting various crashing problems today after the crash. I'd wait a couple days for things to calm down and allow them to hotfix any bugs with the patch.

The task manager wont pop up so I can't close it that way. It makes me have to restart. No new drivers/applications either.
