Been posting some topics in -TR- House Forums for DOD:S. I think it would be a great idea to sceduel an Edge Gamers Casual Meet and Greet. This applies to all e, eG, and eGO members of all ages, the game you play in eGO dose not matter. The place i have in mind is Dave and Busters in Dallas, Texas, USA. Im sorry if oyu live out of the area or do not have them neams to travel to this event. But if you are able to then by all means come. I had some good feedback in my House Forum and the suggested i open it to all members. No date is set yet id like ot see what im dealing with before i set anything in stone, but it will be some time late September early to mid October. Your feedback on this suggestion or a vote for yes would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to PM me. Yould be great to mee all our partners in crime.

This is probably one of the more impractical things I've heard of.

We have several thousand people in the TF2 division alone, all with different, well everything! It would be basically impossible to co-ordinate this. We have in-game meet and greets all the time, just so we can get to know everyone better. I think that the way we do it now is probably the best way.

With eGO reaching 4,000 members, to have a turnout of 5 or 6 would be worth it IMO. A turnout of 10 would be a crazy good time. Im not trying to leave anyone out nor am i expecting to rent out a resteraunt to meet then needs of all the people coming i just thought it would be fun.

reaching 4000? It hit 10k not to long ago. and honestly I would not go to a real meetn greet. Id rather Do a ingame one.

Also, guys, stop posting so much negative comments about how it may not work. I would say we have atleast 50 people in texas, and something of this sort was attempted awhile back, dont remember what happened though.

I would like to apologize for the negativity on behalf of some others. Even if only 2 others came and hung out, it still would be fun. Heck maybe we can get interested members to host get togethers in other parts of the country/world/universe.

Anyways, when it happens, you guys will need to take pics.

D&B is a bit far for me as I live in Euless... Useless... and I don't really care for them... I would be down for something along the lines of Fuddruckers in Grapevine or something along that thought...

I organize GTGs for the 8th gen Civic crowd in DFW all the time... so long as you don't expect a HUGE turn out, you won't be disappointed... but I would label your thread as to being a DFW GTG...

Well its a working progress and i have no problem with where it is held at. i have no problem driving to the DFW area. id like to make this as convenient as i can for everyone.

My old community only had about 400-600 active members, but were able to have a meet in Vegas w/ about 20 people!

I also live in the Dallas area and I think its an awesome idea. I would be willing to go anywhere within the DFW area as long as I had enough notice.

i think its a great idea.. but the only fall back is the fact that most of us cant afford to drive that far [i live in south Carolina] but my thoughts on the idea is not only have the event in one area but have several diffrent events like this around the globe if possible but that might be a lil far fetched x.x

Gas is nearly $5 per gallon here. Plane tickets are extremely expensive. I just don't think anyone outside of Texas would be able to attend. Not to mention school has started for some, and is about to start for others.
