so i saw this... and decided to top off my tank so i could take this picture...
this is a scan of my receipt.. only thing "edited" is the parts i blocked out that i thought some internet loser could use to track down my location :P

There was a gas station about 10 miles from my city that had gas for about $2:83 a gallon today. Was on the news too as if it were a big event.
 
Right now its in the high 3$ range in Austin, its going down though. Good thing I cant drive :O

Where are you going? I paid 3.21 in Ceder Park on Sunday. The post-Ike shortage is over and gas is dropping quick.

But, then again, celebrating $3 gas is like celebrating a 2nd degree burn - it's not as bad as it could be, but it's still pretty damn bad !bang
 
yea, its bad, but its better, at the 4 dollar a gallon mark, with my commute, i was looking at about a 3000 a year gasoline bill.... unfortunately, still paying 3.54 in maryland, hopefully itll keep coming down.

haha, we can start an "I remember when..." type of thread!

I remember when gas was 99 cents! (when i started driving)

I remember when i used to live in San Antonio and would go visit my family for the weekend (about 1.5 hours away) i would ALWAYS make sure and fill up my tank so i had enough gas to get there, and back without having to buy gas at their place. Cuz there was NO WAY IN HELL! i was going to pay $1.10 for gas when i could get it for $0.89 in San Antonio.
 
I remember when milk was $2.39 a gallon and not $4.29.. (Florida)

I live up near Balcones Village and just sort of generally stay in that area.
 
I remember when a friend showed me a pic of a price for gas in his area some time back... it was priced at .01. Went on for a while till some lady said I paid too little for my gas!
 
2 years ago a gas station screwed up their pumps and priced regular 87 at .29 cents.
 
I just bought gas today (2008-October-25) for:
$1.96/gallon

south texas (near corpus christi)
 
I'm pretty sure we have a post your gas prices thread, but I don't have a picture!

The gas station down the street from me (Oklahoma City) is at $2.05.
 
we do. but i started THIS one first. and then autodmc started one. then walmart decided to copy us and start his own. :P

so i just reposted this in all three of them. to give all three of us credit :P
