The answer is yes, there's no GOOD argument against FF. They all get shot down.
  • Noobs/punks freekill for the fun of it!
    Simple: Admin, kick. Done.
  • I always end up shooting my own teammates on accident.
That's a personal problem, you need to learn to not shoot any/everything that moves.

Also learn to communicate with your teammates so you can anticipate that your bud's gonna be around that corner.

There's no reason to NOT have friendly fire, when it makes the game so much more realistic and fun, which is how its supposed to be.

I say no beacuse theres noobs out there that just free kill!
But admins can kick them i want to take back my vote
yes

masterofpuppets is there a weay to take this guys vote and changeit from off to on? cause as you can see here he wants to change it ^^

ON ,it makes the game much cooler and harder, and theres that certain smile you get when you team kill a clanmember xxD

As more new players filter onto servers, im more and more often getting team killed by Grunts. Not fun.

There's going to be this learning curve since the FLOOD of new people checking out the mod since it's release on Steam. Hell, that's how I found it.

People will then either:

a) Figure it out, not TK anymore, and proceed to enjoy the game
b) Decide they don't like the game and go back to what they were playing before
c) Decide TK'ing is fun, do it on purpose, and get banned.

Either way, once the initial rush calms down we'll get settled in for some great times.

The game is meant to play with it on, you don't play cod4 HC without FF, Ins is the same way. It changes the coregameplay

I definitely agree, this is the main reason that creates the intensity I enjoy playing. Also it forces players to be more cautious and play in a team focused style.

For TKers or offenders, that is what admins are for. Also it might be reasonable to input a vote kick system if the auto kick has problems.

Ugh, the lack of friendly fire killed my wanting to play tonight. When an insurgent "miss fires" his RPG into about 6 of his mates, the smoke clears and I see their all still alive.

It just completely killed the "realism" factor. So i got off.

It's all fun and games until you get auto kicked for accidentally tking. Leave it on but remove autokick, admins can kick the people who are killing the team on purpose.

I'd rather keep FF on it keeps it more realistic like the game should be.

I normally hate FF, but in INS, I gotta go with having it on. The whole point of INS is to work as a team, nobody should be ramboing, shooting at everything they see. FF has got to stay on for this game to have the effect it is going for.

This game completely loses its realism factor now that FF is off. Back then(2-3 days ago :D) you had to announce your going in a point or you threw a nade in now its run in guns ablaze and if there are enemies GREAT if there are none you lose nothing.

FF MUST BE ON!!!!!!!!1111!!!!!111!1

yes, it forces you to be a better player. you get a chance to look down the barrel of your gun for a half second at the other guy before you pull the trigger because you dont know if he is friend of fow till you take a sec to actually LOOK.

creates a more fair fight than just sitting in some corner and blasting anything that twitches around the corner.

this should be quicly followed up with a TK mod like in crysis. 6 TK's and the server boots ya.
