That is my wireless adapter.
Before I start, I want only serious answers. I cannot and WILL NOT use a direct connection because I can't. Wireless is the only option.

I've had this adapter for two years or so, and I sometimes it works, most of the time it does not.

I am pretty sure it is something with my Firewall but I can't tell.

I use Norton 360 (Don't care what you use, don't want suggestions) as my anti virus software.

I have gone through and programed the WEP key for my wireless internet into the Xbox 360. It was verified, and etc.

Under "Test Connection" Xbox Live is confirmed, Wireless Connection - Not Confirmed.

I have not moved any furniture to block/weaken the wireless signal. Again, I think it is my firewall or something.

I have disabled my firewall in norton, still nothing.

I want to know what you guys think it is. If you think it is Norton, please give details on why you think that. Legit reasons.

If you have had the same problem, please tell me how you fixed it. I have purchased another Year of Xbox Live just 1 month ago, and I do not want to waste it.

Thank-you for your time.

Xbox 360 Classifies my router as an "Infrastructure"

Xbox 360 says that I am "Connected" to my router.

I am not in any way able to connect to Xbox Live.

What does it say when you try to connect to xbox live?

Have you run the connectivity test on the xbox, what does it say, everything went fine? If not, what does it say is wrong.

It says something along the lines of "Cannot connect to Xbox Live, blah blah.." Standard not able to connect error.

And Xbox Live is confirmed, Wireless Internet - Not Confirmed

Manually setting IP address and such fixed a similar problem for me one time.

Alternatively, if you would like a different method to connect to the internet, I figured this little trick out one day in a college dorm. I couldn't get a direct line in the dorm, so I set my laptop to share internet, then hooked my 360 up to the laptop. It was amazing, it worked like a charm. If you have a laptop, you may consider exploring this option. I sure would hate to see a year of Live go to waste...

Funny thing, that's what my dad does with his PS3. haha

I however do not have that luxury.

Which router model do you use? I have read an article (on Xbox site) a while back that some routers will not support the use for Xbox 360. I could find it anymore, but try this link, see if this brings you a solution. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xbox360/connectionmethods/webconnectivitywizard.htm

My router is indeed compatible with Xbox Live. It works sometimes, sometimes meaning not in the past month though..But it has worked before without me changing a thing.
