Texans Unite!

Well I have been to Llano. We coould have a cook out by the river and we'd never be out of beer since the Budweiser plant is right down the road. Or we could always head out to Luckenbach, Texas as well. But I'm up for pretty much anything. I'd even drive down to Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. Heck, I'd even drive to Abilene. Not sure why I would though.

well unfortunatly i have to skip most of the posts on this thread cuz i'm running late but... i'm from WA ST and my wife, 1 child at the time, and i moved here a year ago, and no i dont miss the "big city's, a*shole drivers, crime, depressing weather, or suicides... but i have to admit, i do miss the dark green, but we live on a ? acre now, and just give me time... i'll have a green lawn in no time

P.S. sorry i havnt been on in a while, i just started this new job with a local magazine, and have yet to have a day off since the 8th cuz my bosses are out of town, but they should be back some time this week or this weekend, i'm gonna try to get on later today though...

P.P.S. ohh and my wife and i LOVE the fact that when we drive down most any road, random people wave to ya... and still laugh when we look out our window and see a tractor driving on a 70mph road...lol

10 things I love about texas.

If you are ever in a server with mixed nationalities and someone asks, "Where are you from?" You are the only one to say your state proudly too. "Texas"

Overly huge rock concerts. 50,000 people at rock concerts is just pure awesome.

The fact that being a republican here means you aren't a hippy.

Tex-Mex the food is amazing.

Every Single long haired woman to ever grace a college campus here.

Football, nuff said.

The ability to go anywhere, do anything, and always get greeted with a smile by just about everyone you meet.

The servers, duh.

The Texan flag since our annexation, has NEVER changed.

Texas jails are the most feared jail, even the federal ones, in the United States.

Oh yeah, I live about 30 minutes from arlington. If yall wanna do the dinner and a movie thing (wow kinda sounds like a high school date) Ill be down for that.

Huts in Austin? Best burgers in the state.
Dude, go to Casino El Camino (near 6th and Red River) and get a Casino burger. They're awesome...definitely rival Huts if you ask me.

I haven't heard of that place. Only place that I've been to, in state, that is close to Huts is Wongs Pharmacy. That place rocks.

Mountains? That's what the cool kids are calling them these days?

In that case, let's go climbing. ;)

*banned on the spot... but worth it*

Oh hey guys, for those that are in the north texas area, if you plan on meeting up at the Fuddruckers in Grapevine, then I will make shirts for you. The shirts wont be all that n a bag of chips, but at least they will be something. Only issue I have is that when it comes to iron on transfer letters, I have yet to find lower case letters (for the =(e)= part). I think I may look @ my store 2morrow & c what I can find when it comes to letters & symbols. I know in a previous post that I said that I would make shirts, & unfortunately due 2 my add, I gave up the idea. Well this time I will do it since it will be a small group & as of this friday, I will get a paycheck, so I can do some work on getting shirts done. My shirt, of course, will be the prototype. I am glad that Soup Nazi is interested in doing a LAN party & I do agree that there should be one after we do our meet & greet & schedule a LAN party. For now I need a list of people who have not gotten an official eGO shirt so that I can make you an "unofficial" eGO shirt. If you would like me to make you a shirt, please pm me with your shirt size, the color of your interest, & if you wish, your handle in game (please dont include ur =(eGO)= tag since I wont add that to your shirt).

Let me see what I can do. If we can get a head count of people that will go and a confirmation... I might be able to invest in some shirts and order them from the site. Maybe the powers that be will give us a deal since I would place a bulk order.
Let me look into this one...

Fort Worth, Texas here. I wish we had mountains :( I only get ~380ft of vertical to ride my bike on here in cowtown. For comparison, in Durango, CO the downhill trails I rode were 18miles long.

I love a few rivers in Texas that will remain unnamed (to keep the worm fisherman away). If you know where to look there is great flyfishing, clear spring fed water, undammed rivers, and good old Guadalupe bass--the state fish! Then there is the rush of giant reds in the bays. If you ever catch a redfish on the coast on a fly rod, you'll know the rush.

I wish Texas land wasn't entirely private so that there could be longer trails -- the hill country area could have some awesome mountain bike trails if it wasn't for all the barbed wire. The advantage of the land being private is that it remains slightly cleaner--have you seen the public lands in Texas? We sure have some littering idiots.

I'm in Blossom, TX. A town just outside of Paris. I love Texas because here, we're not afraid to spank our children if they do wrong. We are not afraid to put our life on the line for our neighbor. We are a united people who's main religion is football! I love Texas and most people in it.

Hey guys, I do ask one thing... since we are most likely going to have minors with us and Fuddruckers is certainly a good place to have a meet and greet then eat', lets make sure those of us who are of age... not purchase any beer. Let's keep it straight and to the point. I would have to assume that some of our youngling's are going to have mom and dad with them... so lets keep our attitudes and professionalism in line as we do when we play in our servers... rememeber, we are klingons!!!!!!!! I mean eGO'ons!!!!!
