Alright, so listen up. I'm not a big rap/hip-hop fan, but every night on Adult Swim (Cartoon Network, and yes...I watch it) I see an advertisement for African Swim, an all African rap/hip-hop CD free to download. I think to myself, "I know I don't like rap...but, if the AS crew is saying it's decent, maybe I should check it out." So I went to their website (http://www.adultswim.com) and checked out their music section. There, they actually allow you to sample the music. I think to myself, "This is great, that way I don't have to download it just to find out I don't like it!" Boy...was I impressed. I actually took the time to listen to each track on the website, and realized that not only was this a great CD...but it's FREE! So, if you're a fan of the genre (and some non-fans, like myself) then you owe it to yourself to check this CD out!

i don't watch adult swim, and when i first read the title to this thread i thought "Wow, instalock ftw!"
but after reading it i'm glad you posted it
when it comes to rap/hip-hop i'm on a song by song basis, some is great. some is crap. it just depends (but really i'm like that with all music) so since you (a non-hip/rapper) says its pretty good i'm gunna go check it out!

I downloaded it a while ago... It (from what FPS Banana said) is apparently a promotional album for Far Cry 2.
I actually really like it... It's got a different vibe than most other hiphip/rap out there in that it's all African influenced.
