Yeah it may be just me, but I never seem to lose to female gamers, I always just kill them first, maybe im just good or something or maybe they dont want to hurt me

The types of gals who can survive the sexism in gaming communities (not here!), they learn how to hold their own. I have noticed in other communities how the gals are among the upper rungs... either you survive the sexism and pwn, or you get driven out, a situation I dislike, but which unfortunately exists in the gaming world at large.
The simple fact that we have this thread begs the point
Why are girl gamers so awesome? Because if they weren't awesome, they wouldn't have anything to counterbalance the tons of expectations that they should be playing Nintendogs instead or something.
I get pwned all the time by the gals who play TF2 here... but that's nothing special. I get pwned all the time by EVERYONE who plays TF2 here. I just appreciate that eGO gives them a place to play where they're appreciated, not degraded.
(It's nice to be on a server and see a jerky pub get eaten by e's (let alone eG's and eGO's) who try to pick on the awesome gals we've got around here. Although I'd be happier if that jerky pub went off and played Nintendogs instead.)

NEVER under estimate the female gamer! I have found all the females in this organization will totally kick your butt! They have changed the perceptions that video games are for guys! Way to go!!
I see no reason why anyone should think a female gamer is any different from a male gamer, some are great, some suck. They are just gamers... my ex could dominate me in any console game, yet when brought onto a PC, she would complain about me killing her till we went back to a console, and then i would cry . On the other spectrum, a friend that ive known for years, she is alot like me, cant stand a console for anything besides an RPG, and loves to play on the PC, its a shame she doesnt like CS:S though, more into the COD4 crowd right now

Fluffy and those damn nades!
True story: I took a nap a few weeks ago and woke up to Fluffy and our 9 year old just cracking up in the home office. I stumble down the hall to see what is so hilarious. Fluffy had our daughter on an empty server in DoD. They were cracking up as Fluff was teaching our kid how to bounce nades through windows and off of ceilings. She was showing her the whole hold and run technique that drives me nuts.
Female gamers ARE dangerous. Fluffy's just meaner than most and now she is teaching the future generation. Let us all cry now.

I have yet to see girls playing RTS.
No seriously, I haven't heard of any female RTS player yet. Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against girl gamers, but it looks like most girls play rather "simple" games like TF2, Halo, Nintendogs and the likes of it. But that's probably because most girls are kind of "scared" by the communities anyway... Everyone here knows how guys can act over the internet.
One girl in my class totally kicks my butt in Street Fighter and other fighting games (I never was good at these games anyway) though she's bad at RTS because she never tries to play them. She hates them... "Too complicated" she says.
Everyone has their favourites though, not just the girls.

Like AutoDMC said, the ones that do play games are likely the "chosen" and continue because of their skill, which is why you see girls that are so good, but not many that aren't (in game, not IRL). I know Daria and Nurse Lucy clean house whenever they play (though I haven't seen both in a while due to external circumstances). This probably creates the myth that ALL girls are good at games because you only see good ones.
Another thing is, maybe it's because they're better at multitasking.. Differently shaped brain processes information differently..
