Wanted To Get Some Help

I want to record a demo of me playing but i don't want to use fraps because it makes you really slow is there any other programs out there that wont get in teh way of my gaming ?

You could use the source engine's built in recorder. What you do is in console, type
record nameyouwant

then, when you are done, type stopdemo in console
then, do startmovie nameyouchose.dem, it will bring up an interface and select your options.

If fraps makes you really slow, odds are you might want to look at a more powerful computer, too. :-/

well i just got this computer i have not tested fraps on it but my other one it was 5 years old so i knew fraps wouldnt work anyway i was using a gforce fx 5200 1.3ghz and 100 ram old

when i do this it dont bring anything up just starts the demo
