Problems with late night gaming...

Whats up? ive noticed a lack of admins during the later hours of the night (10pm and later pacific time) on all servers. The servers seem to get hay wire around that time of night and theres no one there to do anything about it, alot of the time...cussing, disrespect, racism, hacking...all of the above.i just thought maybe we should get some admins to be on there or elect some that play late to aleave us of this problem.

It depends on their timezone.
Not only that but some of us have to go to school or work.
It would be nice to have admins on 24/7, but you cant force someone to babysit the servers 24/7.


However I do agree with you.
Most servers get pretty chaotic into the very early morning, until people start ragequitting or otherwise.
 
This is a problem that occurs within all severs across all games.
The only real way to get past this, is to have admins located in different regions, whose timezones match up with that of the "late times" in the severs.

Im pretty sure the majority of our players are located somewhere in the US, so theres an obvious lack of available admins later in the night.
And since there arnt many of OUR possible memebers and recruits on at those late times, its extremely hard to recruit players who PLAY at that time.

Quite a problem. But theres really no way around it.
 
i Understand completely its hard to regulate them that late just thought i would bring it up im sure every one already knows about it ...it seems like it never gets out of line untill the min. an admin leaves lol
 
Here do this, I think this might work (I'm not being sarcastic I mean this purely to stop this):

1.) Find out who is doing it
2.) Screenshot them to get examples
3.) Get the STEAM ID's
4.) Submit a screenshot for every Steam ID you give for proof
5.) Admins can add the steam ID's to the list

Also it would help if you have a screenshot of you giving them a warning first ; )
 
Also, you can come up with a script to prohibit certain words, I'll look into it. I would make it, but I'm working on a script already : (
 
I am usually on aroudn 3:30 am - 5 am
but if someone is hackign the best thing u can do is rec a demo and get his ip then request a ban in the forums
this way he will be banned later on and you will not have to worry aobut him anymore
 
In the case that you don't know, you can record a demo by typing record "demo name" in the console.

Thats why i stay on later sometimes, i know exactly what your talking about, so i wait till another admin shows up to take my place.
 
would the server be able to have one of those votekick deals when an admin isnt on?
with only a temporary amount of time for the person to be kicked.
then if the people in the other time zones that are admin free could votekick those who are not beeing respectfull of the rules.
there areother servers that use this aproach , and from what i've seen it works to a degree.
(side note) no voteban should be added as this could lead to abuse, and such a decision should be left to admins.

yeah thats cool, its funny cause they see the ego come in and it switches up real quick then when they leave they go crazy again... it would be funny to change your name real quick and join the server without a tag so you can catch them off guard lol

we should jsut try to expand some of our community to more timezones and that could sole the problem to an extent

to bad admins aren't allowed to go into a server without their tag on :(
 
Don't worry guys, I play around 10 AM ish and when I get my winter break I'll be able to watch the servers like a silent guardian.
