Uh yea i would like to have a division but probably not a server. it wouldn't be fair for other people to play when only 4 can join a server for co-op mode. but if it were like the vs game then i guess it would be ok.

i dont really see much use in having a division. putting up servers would take our focus away for the power house TF2/DOD/CSS servers and we all pretty much where our tags and act the same anyway. i personally dont understand how having a division will be significant in the slightest.

I dont understand how we can have a division and no servers? I can see servers and no division but not the other way around.

I like the game its fun... but can see it gettin boring fast without events and friends...

Create a Divison : Yes
Create Events : Yes
Create Servers : No

Please explain the quote. I can't understand anybodies stance on this

Posting this again for the people who keep saying they want a forum and events, but no servers.

Having a division without server support is pointless. People keep saying I want a forums and events but no servers. That makes zero sense. How can we have an event without a server to have it on? The only event we could ever have are road trips. We wouldn't be able to have cool fun events like Monday Madness, Edgegamer's hour, dogtag scrims, etc., like we do with our own servers where we can set guidelines, stipulations, control the console, and have admin powers to deal with rulebreakers. We'd have to go onto someone else's random server and be bound by their restrictions and guidelines, help their server and organization rankings, not to mention the lag problems from servers hosted not nearly as well as ours are. And since it is a someone else's random public server, if another player gets in that isn't a member, he can effectively block the spot from a member as we can't ask or force a player to leave someone else's server.

We don't need a division or forums to set up games to play. I've never used the Left 4 Dead forums here to get a game organized. All you need is your steam friend's list.

Left 4 Dead as a division would require it's own unique rule set, as we all know the character's use some really colorful language. But that's something that can be worked out.

Basically, I say yes to a division if it has server support, NO to a division if it does not.

Thank you!

Another thing I would like to promote is that we cant recruit if we dont have our own servers. That would be recruiting on someone else's server, which is wrong

Its 8 people to a server, kind of seems like a waste to me.

I understand the arguments against having eGO L4D servers because of the ease of finding empty servers and the lower need for admins, but I don't understand arguments against it because of the lower number of players per server.

Thank you!

True, however not everyone is recruited in game. There are plenty of gamers who see a clan tag in game, like their style of play and find the clan's homepage by themselves. Or maybe thru some mutual forum like steam or Planet <insert game here>.

I mean, I can't understand why anyone would be against it if it is just a forum section. If you don't want it don't use it. Who here plays in all 5 games we currently support? 15-20%?

IMHO it would take a small amount of resources while adding value to eGO.

put some more focus into the insurgency division before you start another

OMG, I RLY WAN TO BECOME A DIVISION LEADER FOR L4D, i will literally GIVE MY LIFE TO THE SERVER. (not the infect though)

When you can only have up to 8 people in a game how can you support a whole division that wants to play on the clan server? I think we should keep the server just as a fun diversion from the regular games.

Agreed, as I posted earlier name it the L4D Brigade or something. Everyone thinks of Divisions as massive things that absolutely must have servers and rankings and steam groups and....oh lets make houses to keep things organized....then we can....

Just relax and take a deep breath. We'll basically get another tab up top and some new forums that you can ignore like the other three to four games you don't play.

i agree 4 ppl playing isnt worth the money it takes, a forum division would be cool tho
