Distracting sprays

Im not talking about the unallowed stuff, but today I saw someone put a spray up, that was just an insurgent pointing a gun. I ran into a room saw three guys, 2 looking away and 1 looking at me...the guy looking at me was the spray. I put 5 shots in it, and was killed by the 2 real guys. The spray just looks too real. Anyone else seen this?

I've seen it before,but it was a marine,pointing a gun at me,shot an rpg and tked my own teammate,got me kicked all because of it.

The worst ones are the animated ones they use in CS:S, where they will paint it on a wall behind a box that will show a muzzle flash.

You can see CTs using it alot in Dust 2 against Ts comming out of B Tunnel behind the 2nd box.

first timer you shouldnt have kicked for it unless the tks was repeated over and over

I'm guessing you were automatically kicked. The servers do that if you TK approximately three times quickly, I believe, which can happen easily if you fire an RPG into your own crew.

yea first timer.. you have to be very carful with the RPG on the FF on server.. but backto the topic at hand... i would like to know if these are allowed.. I personaly think its funny when someone gets fooled by those sprays.. they used to fool me when i played CSS.. but its been a long time since ive started playing and they dont fool me anymore.. but I am curious to know if thats something we should keep an eye out for..

Ive been looking all over FPSBanana.com for an INS/Marine spray. But I'll stop if it's not allowed.

IMO, i don't use one, but it should be allowed since its really just a mind trick...in CSS I would look then duck out, then look again to see if "the spray" had reacted to me...

if there are real people standing near the spray and they get you, thats just unfortunate...

Why, It's no different than any other spray that someone takes the time to look at; besides are you sure your just not looking for someone to blame for your poor aim?

I ain't,sadly,but some people on the FF on server were talking about it,and it's kinda annoying if you tked someone because of that spray.

If you tk someone on your own team cause of a spray....No one to blame but yourself...

If it happens once or twice, localized incidents that are sporadic and irregular and not really affecting the overall game, then I don't think it'll be a problem but if it's being used over and over again successfully, then it'll be a problem and a rule will need to be made and until then. Just act as an admin, if you are one, and deal with the situation and if you're not admin, get an admin to help.

I can see the annoyance factor. And if you TK because of it, I can't see how it is your fault. You are playing a twitch game, where most of the time, you are working on reaction, not action. So, you turn a corner, and there is a person on the other side pointing a weapon. Your reflexes kick in, and you fire. Instant TK. I wish there was a way to actually make the person that sprayed it take the hit, but someone would figure out a way to exploit that. :/

I think it's kind of funny (lol funny) because if you TK'd someone due to that spray, you still would have killed your teammates if it was a real dude.

These sprays are allowed in every other game but I'm not sure about INS since it causes TK's sometimes. Wait for a DL or an Advisor to reply

I dont see this as a problem really.. I always used sprays when i killed someone.. that way the person that is spec can see they got pwned. but those sprays always get us at some point. You just have to pay attention thats all.. I vote yes on the spray.
