This has to be one of the funniest threads/polls I've seen so far. But no, chickens don't eat hay. At least that's what I think.

Purple has some of the most random conversations ever...

Maybe Chickens DO eat hay... and they go to the "grocery" to buy it...

I have quite a few chickens and I can vouch for Sloppie, Buga, and Stick. Chickens do not eat hay! They love scratching and sleeping in it, but they do not eat it. :)

That was a very SLOPPIE attempt lol .. that was grass.

I think as punishment you should have to go and clean out your local farm's chicken coop !

That's not hay, that's grass. ;)

Hay is just well done grass. The chickens in the video are South Georgia Brown Brick Clucking Chickens* and anyone who knows anything about chickens knows that South Georgia Brown Brick Clucking Chickens like their hay rare.

*Fun South Georgia Brown Brick Clucking Chicken Fact of the day:

They really aren't from Georgia at all and they don't in any way resemble a brown brick.

The chicken breeding farmer's name was Barton Brickstone and they were named after his wife. Her name was Georgia Brown and had a thick southern accent. The original name was Georgia Brown Brickstone of the South, but the breed naming certificate only had 25 spaces, so it became South Georgia Brown Brick.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
