New miniseries by the people who made Band of Brothers. Was supposed to come out later this year, but seems like it has been pushed to February in 2010. If you liked BoB, i`m sure you gonna like this aswell.

Well considering its from the team who concocted THE GREATEST MINISERIES EVER! I'm pretty optimistic about this.
 
2010!! Crap, stop delaying EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE!!!

I have been eagerly awaiting this, and I am glad you posted the trailer as I am excited... not so excited about having to wait another full year, considering I heard about this over a year ago already.
 
Interesting. Is it being released into theaters in Australia or United States?

Did those same people make Generation Kill As well or different directors?
 
I don't think they were involved with Generation Kill. I believe Generation Kill was done by the guys who made The Wire.

As much as I loved BoB, the cynical part of my brain recognizes that this won't have Damian Lewis (Winters from BoB) in the lead role, and there's a possibility he just carried the entire damn miniseries the last time (heck, he's doing it with Life now).
 
Looks good! Never hear much about the Australian parts of WWII, eh? Always USA this, and USA that. :p

Being released on the HBO channel in the United States and Channel 7 in Australia next year, minieries ;) Along with other countries later.

You bring up a good point... but let me counter by asking if you are sure damian lewis made the series, or whether it was winters?

I would assume there are plenty of good actors they could cast here as well as plenty of good stories to tell that may rival that of easy company.

What I have heard is that they are focusing more on individual soldiers and their experiences, rather than simply following the actions of a company. (I think, dont quote me on that). It will certainly be different, but hopefully, since it is coming from the same people, hopefully just as good.

Same thing as i`ve heard. The series will follow three soldiers, John "Manilla" Basilone, Eugene B. Sledge and Robert Leckie.

Omg i have been craving this mini series for SOO long its a heart pounding type of war show/mini series its also sad at parts but in all its one of the best and my favorite thing to watch was band of brother i cant wait till this one!
