My Ideas For Steam

Here are some of my ideas that would in my opinion improve Steam (Please dont copy, and for the jerks that do, think again.):

1. Steam Cards. Cards that could be sold in stores worth certain amounts of money ($20, $50, etc.) Since you install games after purchase, you could activate the card and have that much on your account. Kinda like playstation network. On purchase, it would take the cost of the game out of your funds.

2. Blog. I think it would be cool to have blogs. So that each player could keep friends updated on their gaming.

3. In-Game Cam. If steam added a built in in-game cam, users could record there Games launched on steam, and save them to there steam folder.

4. Avatar Chat. Steam should have 3D customizable avatars that you can chat with, kinda like playstation network.

No there not... There is no cam built into steam.
There is no 3D avatar chat.
There isnt a blog, either.

I think what he means for 1, is you can go to like Best Buy, Steam Cafes, etc. and get a STEAM Credit Gift card? You could buy steam things with it.

Guild Wars and WOW have prepaid cards, and they're the main source for bots and people who buy/sell with real money. Prepaid cards are probably a bad idea. They don't have a history of working very well for any game.

1. I can see why they should do this, its a pretty good idea, a lot of people won't purchase stuff online for fear of credit theft and then people who dont have a credit card can buy stuff.

2. Don't even get me started on the stupidity and pointlessness of blogging

3. using the console in steam games, you can record games, its called source recorder and uses the function line of "startdemo XXXXXX" to record

4. Whats the point in talking with a 3d avatar? It doesn't improve the way you communicate, it just adds more useless features.

Guild Wars does not, it's free to play. No monthly fee, no prepaid cards.
They do actually work quite well and I have no idea what you mean with "main source for bots and people who buy/sell with real money". It has nothing to do with bots or buyable items.

Yeah there is no reason for steam to release steam cards when you can just get a prepaid visa anytime you please and use it for their service.
