Wii "must haves"?

I just bought a Wii this week and don't have an unlimited budget for it, but I was wondering what everyone considers their "must have" Wii games/accessories.

I'm already planning on the Logitech Wii wireless keyboard so my wife can surf in the living room while I'm doing homework, Wii Play for the extra remote and party games, and Mario Galaxy because... well it's Mario.

So let her rip, if you had to choose 1 game and 1 accessory, what would they be?
 
I agree that Super Mario Galaxy and SSBB are the two games I have the most fun with on Wii. As for accessories, I highly suggest the Wii-mote rechargeable battery packs with charger. Just to make sure, you do have the nunchuks for the remotes, right? If you don't, get them. You can't play either game without them.
 
Resident evil 4 is a great game. and the battery recharge packs, saves you the time to swich batterys every 15 hours.
 
Wii play, because of the shooting game, and the pistol thing you can buy is fun for the shooting game.
 
I think this thread is pretty much answered lol.

You MUST HAVE Super Smash Bros. Brawl and I would highly recommend Mario Kart Wii.

As for accessories, the best advice has already been given. You'll want the rechargeable battery packs, they will save you money!

Okami (Have it.)
No More Heroes
Resident Evil 4
Mario Galaxy
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Have it.)
Mario Kart Wii (Have It.)
World of Goo (Have it on PC, not for Wii. LOL)
Rock Band 2
Metroid Prime III: Corruption
Super Paper Mario (Have it.)

Start with Wii Play (comes with a second wiimote) and 2 nunchucks. Resident Evil 4 is one of the better titles. Metroid Prime 3 is also quite good. Super Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros. are no-brainers.

You probably want Guitar Hero 3, which you can get with the guitar pretty cheap these days. It also works with GHWT, although the band controllers are not interchangeable between RB and GH on the Wii, so watch out for that.

In the "Rent" category:
No More Heroes - Kind of a tongue-in-cheek action title. Not for younger audiences, the content is VERY mature.
Chocobo Dungeon - A roguelike RPG in a sugar coated wrapper. Tons of fun, but probably not for everyone - esp. if you can't get past the kiddie feel.
Boom Blox - Got a lot of good reviews, but I just couldn't get into it.
Rayman Raving Rabbids - there are about 3 in this series, they're OK kids minigame collections

If you never had a gamecube, don't forget that if you buy a GC controller and memory card you can get some really good GC titles for the Wii. There is also a substantial selection of 'wiiware' downloadable titles available, go shop around in Wii Shop to get an idea.
 
Wii Play... It comes with an accessory free! And then, probably a NunChuck. Funny thing about NunChucks. They were originally called NunBarrys. Chuck Norris was born, and no one ever found out what really did happen to Barry.

OR battery recharges and rechargeable batterys, since the WiiMotes are always on... They run out of batterys a lot, and fast

Everyone's pretty much on the right track. I'd suggest, if you don't have a GC controller laying around (or even if you do for that matter), that you think about getting a Classic Controller or two. You can download games on Virtual Console and many of them require something more complex than a Wiimote.

As for games, I really enjoyed Zak & Wiki. It's sort of a combo puzzle/action game. It looks really cartoony but I thought it was a blast.
