I don't like to get into the military conversations here because that would just lead to political talk. I'm not anti-military at all, don't get me wrong. It's the reasons a lot of people sign up for that bothers me, but that's a whole other story and not worth getting into.

As far as the Peace Corps are concerned, it's one of the biggest regrets I have not going through with it. I have friends that did it and they got to experience some amazing things and see very different parts of our Earth. A good friend of mine actually just did a 2 1/2 year stint in Honduras and got back from it last year. We're talking about a woman that started when she was 30, not fresh out of college like most of the people that do it. Maybe one day if I'm financially secure enough I can take a couple years to do something like this or even do a month or two of volunteering somewhere. That is of course after I get around to my big Japan vacation.
 
yeah i don't want to get into political conversations. so we won't. because i think this is a nice thread that people can identify with (especially since we play so many war games)

I may appreciate, understand, and love our military. But i also wish the world could live in peace. So again Plork: You Win!
 
oh well i don't know the terminalogy, i mean Urban Assault Vehicle. as in any vehicle that looks like a truck and kicks ass.

guys guys im simply asking wat ur favorite branch in the military is... i dont want this post to get into poitical arguments and if it comes to that then ill delete the messages that get into to it... cmon it doesent even have to be a branch but the MARINES man god i love em... cmon guys wats ur favs

they all contribute some amazing stuff to our country; therefore, i like them all! my grandfather was in the army, my uncle was in the air force (as is one of my best guy friends, currently serving in japan), and my boyfriend was in the navy - plus two friends who enlisted in the marines. but i gotta give the usaf and uscg props - two of the hardest branches to get into (in terms at asvab scores, at least). woo!
