Well I finished my Corei7 build last night!!!!! :thumbup1: (4/9/09)
I brought all my stuff to a friends house and we had a LAN. So my bro and I got to build new machines! (He got all my old parts)

After I got my drivers installed and some games I started overclocking. So far I got the CPU at 3.33GHz, Overclocking is a godsend with this motherboard! Im going to keep pushing it every couple days or so slowly.

And I also ran some Crysis (Pretty much a must do with a new system) and I was able to run at all high settings with no lag at all.
I could only run Medium or so settings with my old machine and thats with the same video card, so I guess Corei7 does make that much of a difference :P
(Older system had an old AMD dual-core, 2GBs of ram)

Specs so far:
CPU: Core i7 920
Memory: 6GBs Corsair Dominator RAM
MotherBoard: Foxconn Bloodrage
Heatsink: Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme (T.R.U.E.)
Vid Card: ATI HD 4850
HDDs: 640GB WD Caviar Black Main, 1TB WD Caviar Black Storage
PSU: Corsair 1000HX 1000w Power Supply (Ya its overkill....... Do somethin bout it! :P)
Case: Silverstone FT01 "Fortress"

I will be posting more Pics Later.

(Not all parts are installed as you can see, like RAM and the fan for the heatsink, those pics where takin as I was bolting down the heatsink so I had to remove some things)
(I ran system outside of case to make sure everything was in check before installing, its all nice and cozy in its case now :))

Thanks! But they aren't my birds, they're my Friend's birds. Don't let Kiwi (the orange one) fool you, once she is out of that cage, she goes right for the jugular

And Arn0t has that right, thats my other friend hanging out. I was the only one building my machine at that time. :)

Arn0t, Uncle Sam, Captain Blue (Thats his place we where at), and my bro Guardian Rayovac. All those being gaming names of course.
Uncle Sam is the one with the socks :D

Finally !!! Looks nice man :)

Small tip for you OC, get that multiplier to 21 and disable that intel boost...

what graphics you running walmart? from what it looks like, its a lower end ATI?

and how you get two motherboards running like that?

Sweet! May I ask how much everything ran? I am looking to build a similar system and would love to know how much you spent and where you got the parts. So far I have a case and a PSU. Still need the rest.

You gave me the perfect idea to tweak my own OC. Run faster and cooler now :) Lowered the vCore and increased the QPI

Its an AIT Radeon HD 4850. Its a nice mid to highish range card actually :)

I didn't. I had just the bloodrage running outside of the case to make sure everything was in check. I just didn't take out the power supply or DVD drive. Thats why you see some cables going into my case. If you look carefully, there is nothing hooked up to my old AM2 board. (except my 1TB storage drive but thats not hooked up to the bloodrage at that time, it was just sitting in the case)

Everything was around $1500

Why 1000W PSU? You'll ONLY need that if your going quad HD 4850.
And even then you won't use all the power lol.

Really great quality of pics, what camera is that?
Great build otherwise. :P

Yeah I know the PSU is overkill but look at it this way: I'm set for a while :) And at the time of getting the PSU I was planning on getting 2 4870x2s. Im still kind of considering it now  And its a kickass power supply and I wanted it :w00t:

And thats my bro's camera. Its a Canon 40D. Its pretty sweet

Nice build though wally! post more pics @_@

I gotta ask.. Why HD 4850? With that build, it's like buying a Ferrari and replacing the tyres with wooden ones.
Other than that, pretty kickass. :)
