Backpack menu? Wtf

This game is becoming more like an RPG every update.

Don't really see any harm in it.

But it appears as though you will have to delete items from your inventory once you have gotten enough unlockables to make room for more.

Like I said, like an RPG. I really like unlockables, but I don't understand the point of deleting them permanently.

"Added the ability for players to permanently delete items from their inventory using the new Backpack menu. This does not reset achievements. Once an item has been deleted it can never be re-earned."

Not to mention, there are also "head" items now, which I'm guessing are like hats which will grant special abilities.

It's like...Diablo kinda.

Man, I really don't like the idea of random drops...it'll detract away from gameplay goals.

"Ooh look, it's that hat I wanted!"
"Hey, I want that hat!"

And then they race for the hat into a level 3 sentry.

I really doubt, and hope not, that Valve will make droppable items...

If there are potions or some stupid item that self heals then i will buy cod 5 and join that division.

Hm, I also just noticed they added the spys invisbility watch to the list of items, so that means he'll get a new weapon for that.

I'm hoping it's not droppables and it's just earned items, as before.

And I am hoping that there is some reasoning to this deleting item madness, because, as much as I hate the Sandman or Bonk or Sandvich, I still don't want them deleted (what if I get hungry, thirsty, or get the urge to play baseball?!)

You might be able to level your weapons or something, so you might want to delete the older versions of the weapon?
