Razer Deathadder problem.

I've only had the mouse for a little bit over a month now, and it's served me great. But recently [today], it's been giving me problems.

I've tried switching USB ports, reinstalling the mouse drivers..But it just won't work. The problem is that when I click just ONCE, it registers it as a double click. This gets EXTREMELY annoying especially when trying to connect to ventrilo, only having to disconnect a second later because the "disconnect" button happens to be where the "Connect" button was placed a second earlier. Using the Start menu gets annoying too. Any possible solution besides exchanging it for another Deathadder (which I'll do as a last resort).

You reset your mouse settings in windows right?

High end mouses like that usually have software with mapping functionality. I bet that your right click has been mapped to a double-click. Try locating an old mouse to navigate either to Control Panel>>Mouse or Razer's specific software.

My Razer copperhead does the same thing. It's an on and off type of deal, which I believe is attributed to a manufacturing defect in a few razer mice.

If you've had it for a while, then this kind of thing is expected, otherwise you should probably try to get a replacement if it's still covered under warranty.
