Class hats

i was just wondering how do u unlock the hats for each class. do u find them?? or have to get all the achievements for that class??

It's just a random find like the items for Sniper and Spy were for a few days. It would be a neat idea if you unlocked all of the achievements for a class that in return you got a hat but that would inspire more people to go to achievement servers. Good luck with you random luck searching!

Yea it is random times but i haven't seen anyone get hats lately since the update.

This has been explained before, actually Toilet Pastries collected photos of hats. They are completely random, no milestones. I got a Soldier's helmet as my first new item. Then, later, after a razorback and dead ringer, I got another one. I have 2, of the same hat. Top that (lol get it because its hats? Hahaha). Just play and you'll get stuff, eventually you'll get hats too.

annoyingly you might jsut be right.
saw some one with pyro hat on mesa but dont remember who it was. doesnt really suite him/her

What they should just do is if you have 100% achievements, give you the class hat. More incentive to do them past milestone 3. For those of us that dont farm it, it'll be a nice badge of honor

apparently valve is thinking about making it eventually so you can trade the extra items you get for ones you dont yet have...maybe they will do that with hats too?

Very random. I got the Pyros beanie last night in the middle of ubering into the last point at Granary. With a Heavy.

I think like every 25 min of play time there is a 25% chance you will get an item, if you do get an item it's a 1% chance it's a hat.

I think that's what i heard. But basically it's uber rare, be happy if you have one, keep trying if you don't.
