Ok my computers HDD died, and the shop offered to install with my programs and vista 64 bit on a 250gb HDD for 100. He said no.

Instead he bought me a whole new amazing computer.
EVGA 280GTX Super Clocked.
Antec 300
Nspire 750w
4gb DDR2 Gskill with heatsink
Western Digital 640gb HDD
AMD Phenom X4 9750
Turtle Beach Montego Sound card
Vista Home Premium
ASUS M3A78-EM Mobo
and with 1 Year free parts and Labor.

Bad News is that there is a sticker on the side panel so that if i want to remove the side panel, i would have to remove the sticker and it voids the warranty. So even if there is a problem and I know how to fix it, such as me wanting to clean the fans, I have to take it into them and wait 3 days for them to fix it.
Also, I have do dl all of my music and games again...

Ill have it by Wednesday. But I wont play games until I get my music and everything downloaded on Thursday.
 
I think redownloading your music won't be a big deal considering you get a great computer.

Your dad sounds like a very kind person. :laugh:

Shame about the warranty thing though.
 
Sounds pretty sweet. The first thing I would replace in that build would be the case(but hey, who's complaining, free computer :biggrin:). I prefer intel, but I still wish I had that build tbh.:drool:

Yes, he is... I worked hard to make $1000 and I bought a computer, not as good as yours however...

The total was 1087, and im not gonna have to mow the lawn, how ever, i must organize the attic this weekend (in 115 degree heat mind you), and paint the exterior of the house this fall.

Ouch, have fun with that attic. Painting can be fun though. All worth it eh?

(Sorry to hear about the warranty sticker. I'm always taking my side panel off so if I couldn't for a year that would just bug me.)

Where did he buy that? Also, any computer parts I buy I usually split half/half with my dad or 70% (dad) 30% (me) because he is also a PC gamer and we share the comp.

Have you ever painted a whole house before? Do you know how hard that is going to be in 103 Heat with the index? Or the fact that in Florida It can rain at the drop of the hat?

Also we have a huge attic.



Oh and chemist there is a local computer shop 2 miles up the road, and I had to pay that 150 I had that I was saving up for a new Video card.
