I'm on unwilling hiatus. College apparently blocking ports/having issues that prevents TF2 from finding any servers.

Unless any of you have suggestions.

At latest, I can play when Im done teaching, when I get back home, on the 21st

Whaaa??? Drop out! Quick!
My college blocked out people from file-sharing but we still manage to find a way around it. I suggest you do the same. :)

Only thing you can do, riot. :) Nah, but seriously there are a lot of ways to get around it, do whatever you can.

When you open TF2 before connecting to a server, open console and type: clientport 1500

That changes your port from 27015 (def) to 1500 (unused). If you want to be funny, set it to 80 so it looks like HTTP frames :)

TF2 is not your life, get done with school!

After school though, play all the TF2 you want :D!

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!

TF2 is my life and without it I would DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE

change the ports the game uses or if that dsont work use a ssh tunnel to connect to any other network you have access to and use that network for the game

iv done that before with a ssh tunnel so it would connect to my server than use my own network to connect to everything else and it olny put my ping a bit higher

Aww! Im sorry Hydrogen. Good luck finding a way around it, i hope to see you in game!

I agree....Finish School first....TF2 will always be here....just be sure to log on regularly when you can :).....and if that wont work....def try port changes :P

First, you will start twitching....then you would raid people's houses for a computer that would play TF2...and if you don't...you will be under the covers with a flashlight, rocking back and forth in the corner saying..."spy....sapin' my........sentry.......SENTRY!!!!...." *crys from the room*......

Well, after an hour or so you will be fine. :D

I like port 21 (FTP) or 22 (SSH) for my fake ports. Then it looks like I'm uploading a website, or running "top" on a SSH terminal for a few hours :D

Believe it or not, some networks block port 22 as well. A company I worked for did this and it made it quite annoying when I wanted to SSH into a shell account outside of my office to troubleshoot networking problems.

Of course, if they're running some kind of traffic sniffer and blocking based on that, then an SSH tunnel would probably be the only way to go. On a side note, a while back I was connected to work via our VPN and I forgot about it when I went to go play TF2. 200ms - 300ms pings were fail.
