The court case that will change the internet.

Imo the court case that changed the internet was the piratebay trial and the after effects of the website being sold off to a company who is now trying to re design torrenting.

However this case is pretty huge. Also really...1.6m only? Could have at least gotten 2m =P

No guys, Google isn't going down from a lousy 1.6 million dollars lost. These guys get billions and billions a year from their advertising scheme, 1.6 million is nothing. If you scaled down what Google earns and is worth down to what you earn and are worth, that 1.6 million would scale down to something like 10 or 100 bucks. Nothing big.

more like 1$

google gets payed an insane amount for the sponsored google results

lol google is going to eventually become a religion :P

Lol, if they called out eGO we'd just have everyone scramble and delete every post with a emebbeded video :P

The only bands/artists (and I use the term artists as loosely as possible) that care about having their music played in such a format are the ones that already make too much money and/or are way to full of themselves.

Real artists want their music to be heard, not how much they can make off it.

Rick Astley is gonna get loaded off of this deal if he can sue for embedded videos...

i dont understand by embedding a video... will cause penalties for the site or user? why? shouldnt the company taking in the video like youtube be responsible? im sure they dont have the rights to those songs/videos on there? but they are not liable..
