ATI Video Cards

Well i can't decide what i want to do either 2 4850's crossfire or a 4890? Which one would be the better choice? I already have one 4850 and i am not sure if i want another or to upgrade to a 4890?
Here are my specs of my pc
motherboard:gigabye GA-EP45-DS3R
processor:Intel E8400
video card:ATI Radeon 4850

I might be wrong on this but I am pretty sure all 4800 series can be set for crossfire to each other so I say keep the 4850 and add the 4890 to the setup and really have some power. :thumbup::biggrin:
I am running a 4870 x2 2gig ram ddr5.

yea im pretty sure that you can CF any 2 48XX cards so i'd get a 4890 (awsome card BTW) and CF it with your 4850.

If you crossfire a 4890 and a 4850, the 4890 will only run at the same clock speeds the 4850 has and only be able to use the amount of memory that the 4850 has. Just get a 4850.

Yep, Wall-Mart-Security has a 4870(?) and a 4890 in CF. not sure if it's a 4870 or a 4850 but sure not 2 4890's :O

I had one 4890 in CF with a 4850. I didn't have it in that setup for a while because I didn't get that big of an increase in performance and the temps on both cards went up so I decided to go with just the 4890 (which is good enough for me).

would my pc get really hot wit 2 4850's? i have HAF 932 case but i dont have water cooling but this case has good airflow(http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?product_id=2810). If it did get hot how hot would you guys think my pc would get if i had them and their fan speeds were both at 80%?

You will be just fine with 2 4850s in a HAF.

The HAF should be fine I have 2 GTX 275's in mine and it doesn't even get warm.

The HAF 932 cools extremely good and has one of the best airflows. I have it too and with the large 230MM fan blowing next to it, it won't be a problem !
