"No Bots"?

Ok, so I have a question. Why do the TF2 servers say "No Bots" on them? I mean, Team Fortress 2 doesn't have bots in the first place. Just wondering.

I'm not a technical guy, be prepared to correct me when I'm wrong, but it means we don't have AI bots on the servers. Some clans use fake clients to make it look like their servers are more full and for longer, so they have higher server ranks. We don't stoop that low, we get our servers high through honest work. Even if we don;t get ours too high, which is better? The good-grades cheater, or the struggling, trying fair-player?

Hmmm, ok that makes sense. I thought it meant "no bots" as in AI bots, as in CSS... Because TF2 don't have those.

TF2 does have bots, but they are not AI. You can find them in achievement servers, they just sit in spawn ready to be killed.

Yah, I do know about the non-AI bots... Very useful for getting achievements by yourself... :biggrin:

Bot = AI. They have advanced AI bots that you can download to add to your servers.
