Which class? Why?

I suggest sniper or engy soldier and medic at the start Sniper is nice cuz u can see hoew people respond as u pop lead into the eye engys good cuz u can have your own defender and own health dispencer with u Soldier well i dont know about soldier cuz i only play it for 10 hours but my dad started with it so try it good core class and medic cuz u get uber and can get support while learning the game learn spots to check for around corners engie spots sniper spots

Don't play scout, unless you want people to hate you. I despise scouts.

I love playing scout. The sandman and the FaN are awesome together! I'm being hypocritical but i HATE playing against good scouts because they make me work. Then Pyro, then soldier and I'm starting to get ok with the demoman. I use him depending on a situation

Alright, I'm going to try: Pyro=> spy check, Medic=> learn new spots, Soldie <= is that the heavy?, Demoman=> I think stickys, then sniper=> head shots?!?... and fill in the rest later...

Any objections to the order, or is it sound?

Well here is the base of any attack effort in tf2:
soldiers and heavys will be soaking up the main damage and putting out bucketloads too, these will also be supported by medics. The demo(s) will be providing sort of "Artillery" fire from the back putting out huge ammounts of damage. While this is all going on scouts will being trying to flank and get objectives ect. , sniper trying to pick off key targets like that 100% uber medic and that about to be kritzed heavy, spys trying to infiltrate and kill key targets and engineers trying to setup a forward attack base or defend the rear.
With pyros spychecking an being ubered to clear out that pestering engie setup.

But all in all it is just a matter of what YOU prefer :).
Be it healing heavys to burning scouts it's up to you.

Play em all and find your niche. I started off playing medic and it helped my learn A. How to quickly be a team player in this game and B. How other classes function by following them and healing/killing them. There's plenty of youtube guides to show you the finer points of each class, but as long as you're having fun, you're doin' it right. So go forth and destroy! The world is your burrito.

Play all the classes so you learn how to counter them when you encounter them as another class. I have many hours as all classes and it makes me a better player as I have learned what strategies to take against different enemies.

Grate camping demos? W+M1 Pyros? Combat Medics? They can all be destroyed.

Spy is my main.

Thanks this is extremely helpful. I also like the next guy "If you're having fun, you're doing it right".

ya most people gravitate to a class or too like I'm mainly a solly but it is very good to know all the ins and outs of all of them because it makes you better and countering them and also it is good to be able to adapt with the circumstances.

Try them all, don't ask others.

TF2 is made so you can get a class based on whichever style of playing you prefer. I personally love offense with a soldier and defense with an engie. Want to change things up i go pyro to burn some people or medic when my team is lacking them and could use the extra health.

One thing I do recommend however is to go scout for the FIRST death of every round as scout captures points faster than any other class and their speed is great for getting a quick capture in the first bit of a match in CTF (Note: mostly sentries are not built in such an early stage allowing u to capture an intel without the nuisance of a sentry stopping you). After you die the first time you can switch to whatever you want. :)

Hope this help, enjoy playing and learning all the classes, its much better!

Solider - He is one of the easiest to learn fastly
If you learn solider try
Demoman- Demoman can OWN a 32 man server and you will be looked up to even though your not good you just play demoman in a 32 man server = P.
Pyro- W+m1 = win

ya i did that in tfc for 2fort i could conc across the battlements and get in there base and bunnyhop down there sprial grab the flag and conc up the elevator shaft and be out of the base on on my cap point before then engy can make it half-way down to the basement little lone get a gun started.

but if your were good at conc, bunneyhopping and trimping you could move 30x's faster than a tf2 scout in that game.

If you got a good trigger finger, sniper is a best bet.
Just don't go huntsman when you see me... I get really annoied....

I tried sniper, I don't have the "trigger finger" for it. The Scout idea like the admin suggested sounds epic. I'll definitely try that suggestion. XD

Engie, why? Becuase u can sit back and get more than 15 kills with an SG well placed :D

i think the demoman's pill bombs are extremely UP, they don't shoot fast enough or explode quick enough. it would be better if they made the gun more like a rpg.

i have the most skill with a sniper (on 2fort)

but my main class is scout, im good at it and its great fun in arenas
spy is second, i just love 1 shotting :P
