Awarded in recognition of service to his or her country in the armed forces, firefighting or law enforcement. May also be awarded for other types of service not mentioned here, to be determined on a case by case basis.

I am a volunteer Fire fighter and a paid call Fire fighter, and I save lives for minimum wage! Paramedics dont make much here in california. :P
 
My Service

I enlisted in the Louisiana Army National Guard in High School . I have been in for 8 years now , I served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005 and I am set to deploy again to Iraq in Dec of this year . I think this medal is a great way to say thanks to all the men and women who served and still do serve this country . I for one am thankful to everyone for there service .

I work for the county police as an underage kid trying to buy cigrettes, chewing tobacco, or alcohol from stores and gas stations lol idk if this is good enough?

I did my National Service between November 1958_November 1960 and served in the Royal Military Police. After coming out I did 3 years as a Paramedic in London.
I SURVIVED LONDON BLITZ
 
I am an under aged kid working for my county for Search and Rescue. Once i finish the Law enforcement part of the training i am able to go along on "ride alongs".

Not sure if that is what you want...
 
I already have my medal, but I figured I'd post here.

I'm currently in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Beale AFB in California. I work on the computer systems that support the UAV/U2 missions.

Well, regardless if you get the EGO medal or not you all are great people for serving your country, communities, and others all in the intent to better peoples lives regardless if you realize it or not. From the EMT who shows up and helps a loved one to a 6.75 hr firefigher all the way to those who serve and in some cases give their lives you have impacted many people and made this world a better place because of your service...

It is with that that I stand at my keyboard and say THANK YOU ALL for you service..
 
I'm Currently Active in the Civil Air Patrol, A US Air Force Auxiliary geared towards Emergency Services, Cadet Programs, and Aerospace Education. Its a 100% non-military NPO (non profit organization) run through Volunteers.

I'm currently finishing my Search and Rescue training (I can go on missions right now, but I'm receiving specialized training soon!)

OK well I was a paramedic but I've stopped that to train as a doctor so I'm not currently working in a national service field but I'm training to re-enter the same field higher up. P.S. any of you medics interested in trauma check out Johannesbg, where I worked. Its crazy...enough said.

I served in the USAF for six years from October 2000 through October 2006 and had three deployments to locations in SW Asia in support of the Global War on Terror and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Sorry I haven't played for a while, I am at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland working on the ATLAS experiment for the summer.

I think I'm deserving, but I'll let you decide. (see below)

1) Served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer from 1976-1982 - Honorable Discharge.

2) Worked as a Police Officer in Georgia / Chatham County Police Department from 1982-1987.

3) Continued Law Enforcement career with the U.S Customs Service/ Homeland Security as a Senior Special Agent until I retired in November 2007.

4) Current status Retired Federal Law Enforment / working as Mr. Mom ;-)

Hey, I am currently working as a RN on helicopter evac. a branch of EMT in Louisiana and about to transfer to Colorado to do mountain evac for stranded or injured climbers/skiers...was wondering if that qualified.. and also do Emergency Room and ICU care when on call.:glare:
 
So part time with the Law enforcment Forensics would count right? I am taking Advanced Chemistry, and I work for like 2 hours with the Forensics in Law enforcement would that count USCG?
 
Hello I was in the Marine Corps and served in Iraq and Afghanistan. I am also a Cop in Berwick Maine.

i think this award should be people are majoring in Doctor and nursing

include EMT department,surgron etcs

Since they try to save people's lifes . just sugguest
 
Firefighter- Fire District #5 Skamania, WA 2005-2007, currently in the inactive reserve with that district.
