Hi everyone. I dont know where i should put this since there is no Event server division and im a CS:S player so here. I was in vent today for the CS:S vs TF:2 Event. I was there waiting for like 20-30 mins to get in the server since they had a hard time to get some tf2 players and once we could finally join the server guess what... It was full. So here, i think we should put more slots for the event server since like you guys know it really gets full rapidly. Puting money on that would be great. Having a 40 slot event server would be amazing since we accully have events everyday ! Think about it guys that would allow more people in our events and allow more people to get known by the members and get promoted. Maybe this question had been asked before but i think we should all think about it since the Event server is really the place where we all meet up and have fun everyday. a 32 slot is not enough for that i think since we have accully thousands of members just for the css division. Thanks for reading and everyone is welcome to say what they think about this.
 
I think the 32 slots make it perfect because it minimizes the lag and the fps penalty.

Of course but is it worth lagging the other servers? We have events everyday to ensure that everyone has a chance to participate in more events.

Do you see how many servers they have?

Its scandalous!

Ahem, anyways: It would be nice if Italy was actually FULL once in a while but more than 32? Think about what would happen. I would not be able to get a kill anymore since I would just DIE INSTANTLY in apartments. OMG think about what would happen if we had 20 Terrorists and 20 Counter-Terrorists rushing in apartments!!!! I WOULD be CHAOS. Which, I do admit, would be EPIC but I think with that many people it would not be such a good idea.

You know what? Scratch that, I just want Highschool and Italy to be filled up. But if it was a 40 slot server for jail? OH DEAR LORD
 
Yeah well good point there SeaNNN and im sure thats why they wont put a 40 slots but really is it worth putting that much money on servers that lag with 40 people ? think about it..I play in servers with 64 people and they dont even lag a bit.. This should be talked to John T or something cause we are even getting people ban for complaing about the lag and i know thats not the point of this thread but still..u see they wont put a 40 slot cause it would lag to much when its not suppose to. Better servers would be appreciated by every member im sure.

Those servers you see only have one server on its box, because we have high demand for servers (because we are so popular) we have 2 servers per box.
 
I believe events are a valuable part of the community, that said, eGO fosters a merit based system where money is not as important in the hierarchy as you see in other clans or communities. And, the main reason why its not possible boils down to money.

Personally I will take the merit based system over the money grubbing one. There are less problems with the who social aspect of the community. If that means I have to sit out an event...it happens and I will help fill one of the many other FREE and fully enjoyable eGO servers. Plus events can get laggy enough, there is no need to make it impossible to play for everyone.

our jail is 40 slotted :o
 
You prove my point. Are you really going to want to have more than 40 people in jail? Think of all that could go wrong and all the people we would have to kick and ban.

Jail is like the hardest place to admin on (which means its good for training)


Anyways, I still think its a bad idea. I mean Italy, Highschool, Office usually is never full so I still don't know about increasing slots.
