So I just ordered a Novint Falcon! can't wait for it to get here who on here already has one and loves it?:P

I don't know if I'm willing to pay $100 for this type of controller import. It looks amazing, but that's a lot for just a controller.

I'm sure they're really good, but i don't know if i can justify the cost (even at an amazing discount) + shipping to the UK

i don't know...i see it more like a new joystick. It looks pretty big so it'll take up room on your desk for that snack/drink and you'll keep plunging it in and out for your mouse (or not). Sure it's an advanced piece of equipment but do you "really" need it?

I just got it, but the thing will be here tomorrow. The pistol grip is being shipped separately, and it's not even in the system yet... :(

Think of the falcon as a condiment for your food. Sure we don't need ketchup and salt on our french fries but wouldn't you love it?

Not if that bottle of ketchup costs $99
Those ketchup packets and salt shakers usually come with your meal at no extra cost ;)

Off-topic: If I actually spent $99 on some ketchup, why would I be eating french fries?

Yeah so true, that isn't an ideal metaphor in this case. If the condiments cost more than the original food, you'd probably rethink things. :P

it changes your game play to what your use to but i think you would get use to it and like it more cause it's more realistic and has the recoil on it which i think is awesome!

Exactly. i use one, was hard at first but now no one would even know im not using a mouse! Plus it makes for a way more fun gaming experience. No, you don't "need" it, but you also don't "need" to play video games, you don't "need" a pc. Video games are a thing of want. This controller is also a thing of want, appeals to some more than others. I was skeptical of buying it but the 30-day money back guarantee reassured me tht if i didnt like it i would just get my money back. Now i wouldn't trade it for the world =].

thanks for your note Entity. Here's my thought. I think after you get used to it, it is like sound and speakers. Imagine playing games without sound. It's not critical, but after you get used to it, you don't want to live without it again. Many of our users say that they only play games with the Falcon now, because games feel so flat without it.

thx, tomnovint

Fine, its caviar.

I would really love to get one of those! I think I will get it on x-mas, maybe then the prices will go down. Right now I have almost no money, LOL :(

Its killing me not being able to take advantage of this special offer because they only ship to US :(

Would be really great if they reoffer this to eGO members from other continents when they start shipping there. One can only hope.

we'll have another special offer when we open up international sales (with a different code from ego). The price will be a little more, but the software (and the savings) will be much more, so it will be a great deal too, for you international customers. thx, tomnovint
