I try and get my stats up there, but i play every class basically to have fun. However i don't play soldier at all, and I'm a less than average spy but still play as one sometimes. Btw it's good to see what you are doing deja.

I don't play to be in first place. I just play. Who cares? I don't . If I want to play spy that day, i'll be a spy. If I want to be an engineer, i'll be an engineer. The problem with staying in first place is you have to be good at any class you choose to play. If you stink at demoman but you feel like playing it, it's gonna lower your place. So I just play to play. As long as I can kill people, i'm havin fun.

That's right, enough's enough. No more playing TF2 to try to hold first place. If you want it, come and get it.

The reason I'm doing this is actually quite many...:

1) It's bringing negative attention my way that I do not want.
2) It's a lot of work (and time for that matter) to hold first place.
3) By being in first, I can't play spy and terrorize the servers like I normally do.

and you dont get that from almost any other fps out there? When you really think about it, tf2 isnt THAT much different from other games. sure you have different classes that do other things, it's easier top blow people up, and it's starting to become the first MMORPGFPS, but the points still he same, your trying to kill the other team members that get in your way of completing your objective.

Atleast with stats you are able to to see how well you are doing at killing said opposite team members that are getting in your way. and it just so happens that tf2 is probably the first game ive been good enough at to play competitively.

but i dont mean to derail this topic. Congrats deja on deciding to play with your natural class/class you feel like playing with the most, and not just being a stats farmer. *coughkunaicough*

I play for the satisfaction of knowing that the other team member whom I just backstabbed is raging in a whiny voice, ex "Oh mah gawsssssh, shtupid shpy, leave me alone!" <3

Also because it's fun to play with you eGO's....otherwise I wouldn't be logged in so much most of the time.

Deja is trading one form of negative attention for another. Spies are almost pure negative attention. Your own team will never admit you're helping, and the other team will constantly hate you.

Deja, lose the first place, before it consumes you completely, at one moment you are too obsessed with it that you actually can't enjoy the game anymore for what it was. I know how it will go, trust me, don't make the same mistake I did.

Being first was great I know that as well and it is even motivating to get even higher, but eventually you will get angry by playing the game because of spies, huntsman and random critical kills. Don't forget that you play the game for fun, not to be the best.

And a golden advice for you as well, the higher you get, the more spies will come to suicide stab you, I already heared galkafisher asking me to come on a spyhunt for you
