FBG Header and Avatar Contest! eGO FBG Avatar Contest This contest is to make an avatar that will be used on FBG's (Final Battleground) EdgeGamers Group. A Line In the Sand The main reason eGO was formed was to make things right. We wanted a place, maybe the only place left in the world, where honor, integrity and good deeds had value. Too often in our non-virtual lives we have to make compromises, compromises which are just wrong. Everyone knows we have been moving boxes around. Our toughest move has been turning off of our original box, the one we have had for almost three years, the Avalanche and Donner box. But, every division has had some IP's moved over the last month and we will need a little time to see a full recovery from this. Some of it is just plain ol'fashioned forward thinking. Some of it, like the Avalanche and Donner box is was forced on us. The silver lining in each move means better hardware and Windows. We ask that over the next few weeks, that you watch the server lists and join servers that need a little help. Even if it is not your favorite server, you will be doing the community a service. When it rains it pours! What happened to you LayredTech? You used to be so beautiful! Please don't pester Garden and Kendle about lag tonight: Another reason we are moving some servers to Softlayer.

One of our LayeredTech boxes is having a harddrive issue. Instead of taking the box down and replacing the harddrive we have decided to switch it to a SoftLayer datacenter. We have been switching slowly to SoftLayer as issues arise with our LayeredTech boxes because they offer the same quality of boxes at a better price. Most notably, they do not charge an arm and a leg for a windows box. You can easily tell what boxes share what by their IP address. Everyone knows they are hosted out of Dallas as it is the best East/West internet convergence. You can find the servers as the red dot on HLSTATS or at Game-Monitor

Insurgency Leadership is proud to present =(eG)=? kingback with the first Division Leaders' Commendation award. kingback has been with eGO since November and during his time with us, has proved himself to be an extremely capable and valuable admin, recruiter, and overall representative of the clan. Current Server Ranks We own the top spot in two games. Not only in DoD as usual but now in TF2 as well. What we think is even a greater achievement is the CounterStrike Server ranked 49th in the world. We are a new entry into CounterStrike and there seem to be a BILLION CS servers out there to compete with. In a very short amount of time, with a large amount of hard work and NO BOTS, we passed at least 10,000 servers and jumped into the top 50. Turmoil in On-Line Gaming! A lot of you guys may have been aware of the turmoil that is brewing in On-Line Gaming communities this past week or two. A quick summary for those of you who are unaware, there has been a surge of servers using Fake Clients (aka Bots) to help them fill servers. Well that works great if you have the only server doing it. Of course, once your server uses it, someone else figures it out and they do it. Then you have 50% of the servers using these Fake Clients and it helps no one. But, and I mean a big big but, it makes A LOT of people angry! Who likes to enter a server that says it has 30 of 32 players and there are none? Most of us have families, kids, and spouses who do not understand the joy of gaming...
