One Year of Overwatch On October 3rd of 2020, a post was made in the Overwatch sub-section of the forums to announce our new public Discord server specifically for Overwatch. Within just a year, this Discord gained an active player base, tons of new staff, and has surpassed 1.6k members. If you went back to September of 2020 and had told me Overwatch would have taken off like this, I would have laughed at you. Yet, here we are today one year later. New Release: Dark Mode! Dark mode is finally here! It is with great excitement, after a lot of effort, and a plethora of suggestions, Tech has finally released the dark theme for the forums. No longer will your eyes have to deal with the early 2000s-esque color palette. Welcome to the future. EdgeGamers Admin Guidelines Update The EdgeGamers Admin Guidelines (previously the Unified Admin 101) have received a complete re-structure and update. Out with the old, in with the new. A small team was assembled to rewrite our Admin Guidelines in its entirety. You will find a more streamlined and simple explanation that encompasses one key concept - common sense. Buster Manager Promotion Buster has gone above and beyond the call of duty within Overwatch. After he was brought up to admin, Buster immediately stepped up to the plate within the EC program. Later when asked if he could help with AT he jumped at this opportunity and has excelled. Buster has been an immense help to the team and is more than deserving of this promotion to Manager. Jordy's Resignation Today I must bring you saddening news as we bid farewell to a dedicated community leader. Jordy joined the leadership team back in July of 2019 where he immediately proved himself to be an indispensable asset to our team. He has always shown himself to be a hard-working team member who strives to see the server succeed. It's Back! Official Award System Release Since our upgrade to Xenforo, one of the most important elements of the community has been missing. We've been hard at work to bring it back and the moment is finally here! The last Award System had to be overhauled in it's entirety and with over 750,000 awards given out since the Award System was first introduced, that meant a lot of manual entry to make sure everyone's awards stayed intact.
