As long as you don't turn on TF2 when running the idler, you should be fine. Also, if you don't set it to delete duplicates, when you join a server it will have spam of you finding all the duplicates since the last time you played, so some people might think you're a hacker or etc.

Also, I don't know about you guys, but VSync also screws with the mouse a bit ingame. You should try playing with both and see if there is a difference for you.

I love valve for this, if people don't work to get their unlockables fairly, they don't deserve to have them. I farmed for the medic achievements and it ruined the update for me (kind of), so I never farmed after that, and it's pretty fun to work for the achievements fairly.
